"We're in Libya because of oil. And I think both Japan and the nuclear technology and this dependence we have on imported oil have both once again highlighted the need for the United States to have a renewable energy agenda going forward," Rep. Ed Markey (D-MA) said on MSNBC.

I wish we were. I am still waiting for our oil from Iraq.
obama went on vacation to Rio to do a deal to get oil from Petrobas which is the same company Soros has just bought millions of shares.
deal goes through and Soros makes billions
in a way the trip to Brazil was for oil and profit to the biggest donor to the left.
WHAT NO MENTION IN OUR MEDIA
WOW WHAT A SURPRISE NOT.
Wonder if Beck will mention this
Well, Ed, we’re in Libya due to the actions of a president who is a good Democrat.
Also, Ed, for the first two years of the Obama era, Congress was in the control of good Democrats. If these energy issues are such obvious problems, and good Democrats such as yourself have all the answers, why was nothing done about them while good Democrats were in charge of both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue?????
I sure hope so - there is nothing there anyone wants other then that.
My guess is O is handing out about a million green cards and the people there will be here soon.
He must not have gotten the memo: A Democrat is now president. Some of these guys are stuck on ‘stupid’.
war for oil is as good a reason as any other...
Hardy, har, har, har - where have I heard that before? Was George Bush re-elected president while I slept last night. What a hoot!
We’re in Lybia because democrats are ****ing stupid.
More accurately, we’re in Libya so the Europeans can have oil.
No surprise there.
New England loves it’s heating oil furnaces Mr.Markley. $6.00 per gallon home heating oil is ok with you?
Fungible commodity. Who needs it is irrelevant.
And the rest of the world says the average American does not think about things beyond its borders! You proved them wrong. (Great observation).
Of course we are there because of oil. Our government is supposed to act in our nation’s best inerest. Being opportunistic on removing Ghaddafi is certainly in our interest - even if the bumbling incompetents running this government are 2 weeks late and will now likely not achieve their end. The rebels had great momentum and our action a few weeks ago would probably have flipped most of the Libyan mililtary to the other side. Pretty difficult to do now.
Yemen is beginning to melt down into a civil war and so is Ivory Coast. Won’t see a no fly zone there because its not in our interest if those people murder each other. Ghaddafi disrupting the global oil supply is a different matter.
Its worse than that.. oil that goes to France and Italy and URP generally.. BUT not to the U.S..
It is about oil, only these globalist/elites that run this nation are giving it to others so to fleece this nation while they rake in the profits. A 2nd class nation is here & none of us have the will to actively change it.
