It all depends on how you view this. A war to help the Islamists or a war to help democracy. It’s clear that there are those that view this as a war to help Al-Queda and there are those that view this as a war against an evil dictator like Saddam.
I am the eternal optimist. That there are enough good people in this world that a government choosen by it’s people will be for good and not for evil even if that government can be corrupt that the basis for it is not bent on killing people.

I am against tyrants, and definitely against genocide no matter what race, religion, or color the victims are. President Obama is doing the right thing. I fault him for doing this too late, and I hope he has enough sense to finish this thing by totally taking out the Ghadaffi regime. Our leaders now realize that Rwanda’s and Srbrenicas are unacceptable and if something can be done to stop the mass murder of innocents then it needs to be done.
All I’m saying if there is any hope of Democracy in Libya, you are first going to have to fight Kadaffy, and then fight Al-Qaeda, it will be no different than Iraq. And even Iraq now isn’t in great shape after all that.

yesterday on the Farrakhan thread at 1.23 pm I posted that Qdaffy and sons would not see the 47th hour next.

From where I sit, the UN has command of our troops.
One can only assume the General Order dealing with unlawful orders has been lifted. Since today, we simply bomb at will.
While I might be pleased with the demise of a terrorist like Gad, and his son, I still believe in the rule of law. Since without it, we are no better than terrorists, or street thugs. Today, it’s mob rules.
If we don’t fix this, if we don’t return to the rule of law, our children, and grandchildren, may have to, one day, face these like forces, internally.
This is my greatest fear, for them. So yes, I am very alarmed by the status quo.
Bottom line, Congress must answer for it’s dereliction of duty since Korea, then Nam, then Kosovo, then Afghanistan, then Iraq, and now Libya. Apologies for those missed. But, the point is, it is the solemn Constitutional duty of Congress, to declare war, before sending our troops into harms way. It’s a fact!
Today we have upped the anti. Obama doesn’t even bother to seek Congressional “authorization.” This is what happens when the rule of law is denied.
