Why not?
China, Russia, India, and the Arab League all condemn this.
The west has only a brief window to do any of this stuff before the public opposition starts to ramp up the opposition, making it almost impossible to continue.
Seeing that this mission has at best lukewarm support, Moe-Mar can wait it out. It isn’t as if the rebels have any chance of bumping him off.

Colonel Gaddafi has recommended the armed forces call an immediate ceasefire, shortly after anti-aircraft fire was seen in the sky over Tripoli Yes. So what? I would call for a ceasefire as well. While I re-arm and move and let the arab leaque cry about civilian casualties.
