This is my understanding of the process:

Impeachment proceedings begin in the house, where it is introduced by any member and goes through the established committee process. It is debated on the floor and voted on. A majority vote is required for impeachment.

Impeachment by the House is analogous to indictment by a grand jury. It says these offenses must go to trial.

The trial is held by the Senate. A vote of at least 2/3 is required to convict, at which time the convicted is removed from office and perhaps tried in criminal court for offenses committed.

Historically, Andrew Johnson and William J Clinton were impeached. Neither was convicted.

In the matter of this president, my ideal scenario for a conviction would go like this. Impeachment is introduced in the House by a democrat. It receives a majority vote consisting of virtually all the democrats and enough republicans to carry. Same in the Senate—Convicted by mostly democrats, with enough republicans to carry.

This would help the democrats by showing voters their “remorse” for nominating Obama. It would not hurt the republicans, because it was introduced and driven by the democrats. And it would help the Republic by getting this Manchurian candidate out of office before 2012.

Hey! They photoshopped the ball into the pic so we wouldn’t know that he walks like a dork.

LIBYA, OBAMA’S BABY
Tune: “Lydia, the Tattooed Lady”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4zRe_wvJw8

Libya, oh, Libya
I don’t mean Namibia
Libya, Obama’s baby
He’s a Bush, with thorns and thistles
When he sends in long-range missles

Libya, oh, Libya
Barack’s just like Dubya
Dubya, the bane of DU!
We thought we’d have peace with Obama the Great
But he’s a repeat of the bomber we hate
Is Cheney in charge at Defense or at State?
Déjà vu anew with Libya!

Farrakhan Blasts Obama For Calling For Qaddafi to Step Down (Video)

Isn't it obvious? Farrakhan is a racist.

A hard-core group of liberal House Democrats is questioning the constitutionality of U.S. missile strikes against Libya

Who'd ever thought that the position one would expect form a conservative is taken by the "hard-core... Democrats," while conservatives themselves scream "Go baby, go!"

The world must've turned upside-down one night when I was sleeping.

It is only the House that impeaches a President.

I wonder how many of his own he alienated on the left there were planning to vote for him again, but now won't.
I don't know how many Republican voters stayed home or voted 3rd party or stayed home in 2008 because they though McCain was too lefty, but I imagine it still helped Obama. Hopefully, that comes around full circle and helps Obama get ousted.

*What is that old saying about a broken clock is right on time two times a day.*

I never thought I’d one day wake up and see Freepers posting the same nonsense that Kookcinich spouts. This is the same group, after all, that defending every GOP administration attack on any/everyone for as long as I’ve been here...except for the Ron Paul kook wing of FR.

It’s sickening to see such knee-jerk partisan idiocy. Just because the dude in the hut has a D after his name, suddenly some of y’all are against war. What a joke.

If only Mubarak would have been quick enough on his feet to think of calling all those rebels in Cairo members of AQ, maybe he could’ve saved his sorry ass.

Oh, wait, most of y’all were for him staying, too.

This all is opening a can of worms that will lead to the UN sending foreign troops to Wisconsin and Arizona.
