But there are major factors when dealing with people who are more interested in DWS and who is going to be bumped from Survivor next week.

1. You can’t fix stupid
2. Most of them have no idea what voting is
3. When she commands the airwaves once she announces, she will do it in a way that Reagan did and go directly to the people sidestepping the media all the way.

I didn't read beyond your number one point:

1. You can’t fix stupid

Because if we can't fix stupid, Obama's got a second term already.

By discounting #3 you miss the whole reason why McCain lost besides he in no way wanting to win anyway. Just answer the question about all of the friendly fire she took when the RINO’s finally figured out she was far more than advertised and that began two minutes after he gave her the mic in Ohio at the announcement.

Look at his face and it is unmistakable he just realized his OS (Oh S***) moment.

I wouldn't argue with that statement, but not if she had actually won! (I don't see how she was going to get the nomination in 2008, since she wasn't running!)

Whoever "won" in 2008 was going to take the blame for everything that has happened since. People vote their wallets, which are unusually bare at the moment. Herbert Hoover's party was banished into the wilderness for the next 20 years. Maybe the Democrats will see a similar result.

She did not. I listened to the speech.

The interviewer asked why McCain didn’t do something specific to win in 2008 and she answere, “I wasn’t at the top of the ticket”. (trans: ask him, I didn’t make those decisions in HIS campaign.]

Which is true. Bad decision-making by McCain, bad advice from senior staff, take your pick or take both. And despite what some of those staffers would really, really like us to think, the choice of running mate was not one of those bad calls. At least not in my opinion.

I’m not surprised they buggered up the reporting on her. They generally do. But as to the other interpretation...I think it’s fair to say that (at minimum) more than a few Freepers were thinking the exact same thing during the campaign. And some still do.

Since you genuinely don’t know when/how she said it, I’ll fill you in. She was asked why 0bama won. She said that it was a stressful time for the country and the people wanted a change. 0bama was a change agent. The host countered, “But you could’ve been the change agent,” to which she replied, “I wasn’t at the top of the ticket, remember?” It was truthful, accurate and moment-appropriate. If you think she could’ve handled that question better, please say how.

In my estimation, that was the best thing that she said. And the best thing the host said was, “Historically, Republican presidents have been better for India than Democrats.”

Agreed. When she said it I sat stright up in my chair and cheered and said that it would leave a mark. Apparently the MSM and RINO’s are leaving it alone hoping that nobody else hears it but I’ll guarantee she will use it a lot more in the future.

Pride cometh before a fall. Often.

However, McCain was in a near dead heat for last place with Mitt and Rudy in my book, out of the seven candidates on our Republican Primary ballot.

I honestly believe that only Sarah Palin on the ticket got him the turnout he did. People said they voted for that nice lady for Vice President.

I found it interesting that the opening salvo of PDS after the election was to blame her for his loss, when I know I would have been extremely tempted to just stay home had she not been on the ticket.

Had she been on top of the ticket, the election would have been a question of the First Woman President versus the First Black one. That would have pitted the Women's vote versus the white guilt liberals, and possibly broken down support for Obama along those lines.

All speculation, of course, but McCain's amnesty position hurt him, too.

If Sarah was the head of the ticket, the Republicans would have won Michigan.

Pride cometh before a fall.

That would explain why McCain failed.

ineluctable

“You have nothing to fear from an Obama Presidency”.

Juan McStain Townhall meeting 2008. Words that will live in infamy.
