That is the second time you have spelled “our” as “are.” Is English your first language? And may I ask how old you are?
I don’t remember. It was a long time ago but I believe I used the info that you gain from making a contribution. I didn’t actually believe that I would be grilled over the fact that I had a conversation with a man on a phone.
You are barking up the wrong tree. If I had claimed I had a material conversation with the man then your obsession would make sense. I stated that I talked to a man. Chill out Humble.
My bad. Here is the thing. I don’t care what you think. If I did I would proof read. It is Like Morse Code. Who cares as long as you understand what the other person is saying. If it was a thesis I would care. Chill out. That is the main thing.
That’s the problem, political correctness now rules the world. Obama has taken us to war under the direction of the UN, not our Congress. The prosecution of this war is out of our hands.
First Obama played the role of Jesus Christ, now he is playing Pontius Pilate, washing his hands of the responsibility in settling a dispute between two warring Muslim factions, while footing the bill with US assets.
But we have only spent 100 cruise missiles, other than that I may agree with you. I am too tired to do this any longer. I didn’t think I would get this sucked in.
All I can say is make sure that you convictions are based on solid ground, where ever that is.
Genocide is more likely to happen if Quadaffi thinks he's in danger of losing. If he thinks he can put down the rebellion easily and return to the status quo, then he'll do it with minimum killing, in order to minimize future grudges by the losers. If he thinks he's in danger of losing, then his incentive will be to have his loyal tribes totally exterminate the rebel tribes.
“Chill out.” “Chill out?” Come on, now. What grade are you in? You’re in the 8th grade, right?
The rest is a waste, or, since it will anger but not kill him, more than a waste.
I know what you mean. You were under attack in this thread by a bunch of posters who make a practice of just that, attacking threads with the purpose of shutting them down. It doesn’t matter the topic.
They seem to have their own ping lists on different subjects. I posted an article about death panels that are already up and working in the state of WA and someone from Colorado pinged a bunch of people to confuse the subject and attack me as a liar.
It’s the second time that it has happened, so I knew not to respond to their taunts. Don’t engage them, let them rave and rant. Just respond to other posts, like you did mine.
Our war policies -- dating from the occupation period of Iraq, around 2005 (1) have made us far weaker (2) made radical Islam stronger and more extensive.
What policies in particular? Not matching the obvious military strength with strength in moral, governmental and economic policy. Instead implementing policies that give the soured power, Building from weak foundations. We have done far too much, dumped in money that feeds spite, we have been way too impatient.
A minimalist approach would work better, minimalist with hard demands on some key things -- like no "Allah" on the flag, like freedom and protection for the Christian minorities, like lawful trade with and full recognition of Israel.
>>Killing, fighting or whatever you want to call it with borrowed money?<<
Bankers run America and they say there is a lot of money to be made fighting wars. They will loan money to both sides because they know they can make the winner pay all the costs and give them a healthy profit.
Take a look at the poster's name. He's not kneepadding Obama. He's kneepadding palin.
Shame on you for pointing out the obvious.
BTW, I do know that Sarah the Wise advocated the no-fly zone, but has she weighed in on the current military operation?
“Why can’t we just let the Libyans fight it out (...and then make friends with the winners)”
My thoughts exactly. If Libya is attacking citizens (unarmed) then we should support a no-fly zone. If not, let them fight it out, its their business who controls their country.
I don’t recall hearing anything in the news about large scale atrocities against the civilians by the government before the revolt.
Indeed.
And why lend impetus to other Arab rebel movements which could seriously disrupt oil supplies if they see a rebellion in Libya gain international support?
Oil flow is the only thing that should interest us, so why rock the boat with misplaced idealism?
Liar.
Muslims that pretend to like us are practicing Taqqiya.
Hope what makes me happy?
