Veteran US Journalist Helen Thomas said that Jews have "total control" over the White House and US Congress, telling Playboy magazine in an interview to be published in April, "Everybody is in the pocket of the Israeli lobbies."

Thomas, who covered the White House for more than six decades, was forced to resign from her position at Hearst Corp. last year, after saying in an interview that Jews should "get the hell out of Palestine" and "go home to Poland, Germany and the United States."

I have never understood anti-semitism outside of the biblical explanations. There is no logic or reason.

Some broken cultures, and some broken people must have an object for their self-loathing. Certain minorities fill this need.

As for historical hatred of the Jewish people, I have a personal theory. The Jewish culture has a singular and admirable quality - they have always emphasized schoalrship. Consider the rite of manhood. It is a rigorous learning the Torah, the language, the reasoning of rabbinical thought.

What has this to do with history? Throughout much of human history, the ability to read, write, do mathematics has been limited to a small minority of the general population yet these abilities have been traditionally required for the passage to manhood for a Jew. This has meant that privileged positions in society have been heavily represented by Jewish people throughout history. Top government positions, banking, merchant companies all perceived to be dominated by "the Jews" through history has resulted in a strong fear and jealously distilled to hatred throughout time.

I think she was talking about the lobbyists. There most assuredly is mucho denero being spread around Washington with all the special interests. She was there for a long time, I bet she knows a lot of things she couldn’t put in print. She may have a personal agenda as well, I don’t know. But a little research could produce some facts for someone that wants to put in the time. As for Mel, he may have some good reasons to be disappointed in Hollyweird. His Passion of Christ was not well accepted there. Too bad, it was an excellent movie, whether or not if you accepted his version, it was well produced acted and scripted. Just my opinion.

Actually, I have another theory.

Because many Jews argue by constantly responding to a question WITH a question, this makes it very hard to debate with a Jew and frustration leads to animosity.
