"Sarah Palin held her own very well,” said Sachin Pilot, India’s deputy minister for communications and information technology. “She came out as an independent thinker. She answered all complicated questions reasonably well,”“Anybody who is looking to perform a major role in American politics today does need to engage with India.”

Palin’s two-day trip to India came about five months after President Obama’s state visit. While Obama and his wife, Michelle, danced and charmed their way into Indian hearts, Palin impressed her audience with strong views on energy security, terrorism, free trade, bailouts and the India-U.S. partnership.

But David Frum said her speech was a flop! I guess WaPO disagrees.

Surprisingly the only truly negative commentary ‘so far’ was the Frum board and typical Politico — There was not much even for most super leftists could have pulled out of their hats against Sarah.

we need to clear this up :

obama and his family “vacationed “ in India

Palin and her family made a”Presidental “ visit to India.

From the way Indian leaders are responding, it appears that they know the difference.

I just took a look at the post on the Frum Forum. I hadn't “gone slumming” there for at least six months. When it atarted out, it was there were a lot of RINOs there. I think even the RINOs have left. The crowd sounds like a senior citizens’ version of Kos.

I guess. He provided some entertainment value at times and they let him stay a long time. It can get boring when everyone walks in total lockstep.

To all those chattering monkeys who repeatedly say that she does not say anything substantial... well, there was a lot of substance in this visit.

It looks like her audience here had good things to say about her speech and answers.

Her China military statement was pretty direct. She did not beat around the bush.

When Americans get to see the real Palin, that is what they are going to love about her.

Her directness and common sense, which isn’t common any longer.

The Indians were a bit startled, especially after their experience with the last high profile visitor from the U.S, who had a hard time speaking up about the home country of the terrorists who attacked Mumbai.
