In the article, there are no quotation marks around that statement. She may have said it, but the author is being vague. The top points he makes are summaries of what she said, then he switches to quoting her without using quotes.

I searched online and this is the only author that I found who has her quoted as saying that. I would think a statement like that would be all over the media.

Now, she may have said it, but I wont comment on what she said until it is verified.

Jeane Kirkpatrick

I was thinking the same thing the other day.

We need a Jeane Kirkpatrick in male or female form.

Jeane Kirkpatrick was very very articulate. I wish Sarah Palin would read up on her.

That's no reason to choose a candidate simply because she has boobies.

I agree! That excludes a lot of even better candidates. I would LOVE to see Ann Coulter as President.

Yeah, the article is written so vague, I would want someone else to substantiate that she actually said that. And Im not even the biggest Palin supporter out there. But I would prefer to know the facts before I comment on whether someone is right or wrong.

Palin has always thought like this. Here is a quote by her said during her VP announcement speech in 2008:

“I can’t begin this great effort without honoring the achievement of Geraldine Ferraro in 1984 and of course, Hillary Clinton, who showed determination in her presidential campaign,” Palin said. “It was rightly noted in Denver this week that Hillary left 18 million cracks in the highest, hardest glass ceiling in America. But it turns out the women of America aren’t finished yet, and we can shatter that glass ceiling once and for all.”

I didn’t like that then; I don’t like this now.

Another great presentation by Sarah Palin. The anti-Palin folks will seize on her ‘time for a woman president’ comment to bash her and justify their refusal to support her, citing ‘gender politics’. So be it, we all have our opinions. However, I’m pretty sure Sarah Palin said that with a big smile and hardly expects to be elected, much less nominated by a political party whose ‘leaders’ are hostile to her, based on her gender. Frankly, just as Obama’s race was a carefully avoided issue in 2008, Palin’s gender will also be an issue that will be ostensibly avoided while remaining a factor in the 2012 presidential election. My guess is that Palin’s female gender will hurt her a lot more than Obama’s mixed-race heritage may have hurt him. I also believe that with the nation and the world in turmoil and the ineffectiveness of Obama’s presidency and the sheer destructiveness of his socialist policies, Sarah Palin will emerge victorious in a contest between her and Barack Hussein Obama.

Oh yes. Let's elect a woman to be POTUS simply because "It's time".

Just what we need a Title IX president. /sarc

"I can’t remember the exact words, but she was responding to a question being asked by the interviewer who referred to Hillary Clinton talking about the number of women leaders elected in Latin America. In no way did I sense that Palin said we need a woman president just because she was a woman."

Exactly.

I don't like it either. I mean, if people are going to vote for somebody because they are female. It's a given. There's no need for the female to remind them that she's female.

The issues is what Americans need to hear

“That's no reason to choose a candidate simply because she has boobies.”

Agreed, but when Palin said that often “Republicans have the fighting instincts of sheep” I don't thing she was referring to herself, Michele Bachmann, Jan Brewer or Susana Martinez.
