Perhaps there was a reason his mother abandoned him.
low-hanging fruit.
What, he fell off his tiny ice flow and couldn’t find another? Global warming, I tell ya.
;-)
His mother knew from day one that he was a weakling - and the cruel logic of nature did the rest.
BushCheneyHaliburton’s fault!
I can see a musical group name coming out of this:
The Dead Knutes
or perhaps:
Die Toten Bären
JUST STOP!!!!!! your nasty hateful comments about Knut. You have no idea of the number of people he brought together from all over the world, and how much joy he brought to the world. So just turn off your computers and bury your heads in the covers, you nasty, hateful people!!!!!!
Obviously Bush’s fault......
I watched a program on this PB. When the keepers came in and found 2 cubs abandoned they took them to the hospital. They had a very hard time getting the right formula to feed them. Later on x-rays showed a very marked decrease in leg bone mass. When they FINALLY found the right formula mixture the cubs began to grow properly.
That is not a good start for any creature. Sorry to hear that Knut died. I’m sure the staff in America that saved them are heart broken. Especially the ones that voluteered to take them home so the Bear could sleep with them. Amazing how they crave that closeness.
Huchtenschwuchten, Sauerckrauten, Bratenwurschten, Verysadennichten
Lucky he wasn’t in the wild or he would have surely drowned from the melting icecaps just like the cartoon polar bears in Al Gore’s movie.
Polar bear Knut has died.
