From that statement, it sounds like Qadhafi Duck has lost one of his jets...
Nuke the place from orbit..its the only way to be sure.
“Who are the rebels?”
And why, exactly, do we want to help them?
According to the BBC reporter, it went down "an hour ago" and it went down "west of the city (Benghazi)".
Do you think he made it up?? Skepticism of the media has it limits, y'know. Did you even click on the link below the photo? Maybe you missed it.
So you make counterfeit documents?
The rebels have aircraft?? Huh?? And they got it from who?? where??
MiG-27 is a fairly uncommon plane.
yes they have a few that defected.....one attack daffys boats a few days ago

that’s an easy one, cause they want to establish a caliphate in the middle east, and we are all for religious freedom and expression.
Wonder how “rebels” got their own aircraft?
Using the standards applied to former President Bush, does this action make the great leader who won the Nobel Peace prize, nobama, a war criminal? I mean, invading a sovereign country and all. Doesn’t Congress have to approve this kind of stuff? And why are we helping these rebels? Doesn’t Gadhafi have a “right” to fight the rebels? nobama is such a feckless, petulant war monger.
Libya doesn’t operate MiG-27. They operate MiG-23BNs. The BN has the drooped nose of the MiG-27 variant.
Conflicting reports on various news agencies. Some are claiming that it was a rebel operated MiG-23 shot down by Gadaffi forces. I’ve seen video evidence from a week ago of several MiG-23BNs in rebel hands.
They have captured Libyan air assets. They were flying captured Hind helicopters last week. Footage was shown of them repainting the Hinds in rebel markings. Footage also exists of rebels taking over some of the Libyan bases with several ground attack variant MiG-23BNs. So yes they do have access to aircraft.
Rebels are likely Muslim Brotherhood or Al Quada fanatics all of which are worse than the nutbar they are trying to force out.
Congress approved the Iraq war. Both times.
I've been thinking about the Egyptians. IIRC, time was, maybe before Khaddafi's time when Naser was in charge in Egypt, he had some designs on the Cyrenaican region of Libya. If I was in charge of the Egyptian military right now, I'd find it hard not to think of how popular I'd be to take a nice drive over to Brenghazi with some of those M1A2's I have.
Where is all this stuff coming from? From where is it being shipped or flown into the rebels territories and hands? Where's our U.S. intelligence telling us these facts so that we know who the rebels really are and from where they're getting supplies and the means for combat.
The Obama administration is actually telling us nothing despite the Pretender's torrents of meaningless, pretend-hard-line words. Our elected representatives obviously are being kept out of the loop regarding approval of a shooting war he's apparantly pulling us into under the cover of the U.N.
We know Moomar G'Daffy is on first, but who are the well-supplied rag-tags that are on second? Who's backing them, who's supplying them, who and what is this unidentified rebel "army" that we're supposed to hook up with and die for on its behalf?.....well, I could rant and rave on, but you get my drift.
Leni
Thank you. I KNEW someone here would pin down the type of aircraft before anyone on the “news” did.
No I said it went down somewhere some time.
