In fairness, Helen Thomas is old enough to remember a time when Palestine had no Israeli state. I suppose if you can recall what it was like without an Israel, you’re more comfortable with the concept of not having one at all.
“In fairness, Helen Thomas is old enough to remember a time when Palestine had no Israeli state.”
Given the truth of the above, Helen Thomas is also old enough to remember Jews being ushered into the showers but no hot water coming out. She just doesn’t care about the death of “them.”
At the same time there have been Jewish people in "Palestine" since ~1500 BC. They never left and were there before the Arabs arrived. When Jerusalem fell to the Romans, that didn't affect the Jewish people in the rural areas, they never left. There was nothing unfair in the split of the land between the Jewish side and the Arab side.
Since the term "palestine" predates the arrival of the Arabs as a people, then when these Arabs call themselves "Palestinians", they're calling themselves Jewish more than Arab.
“I suppose if you can recall what it was like without an Israel, youre more comfortable with the concept of not having one at all.”
I’m not buyin’ it. She’s also plenty old enough to remember WWII, and look at her hateful comments about the Holocaust.
She’s “comfortable” with the concept of not having an Israel at all, the way Ahmedinejad’s comfortable with it.
