Former White House correspondent Helen Thomas told a national conference of campus journalists that President Obama owes her an apology for his criticism last year of her comments about Israel.
"I want an apology from the president," Thomas, 90, said Tuesday to the hundreds of student journalists and their advisers attending the keynote session of the annual spring convention of College Media Advisers (CMA) at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.
Shin Inouye, director of specialty media in the presidential press office, said the White House would not comment on Thomas' demand for a presidential apology.

Found it.
Still burns though.
That reminds me of a time when my eyes were really burning. I was cutting some banana peppers and some hot hungarian look-alikes had gotten mixed in the bunch. Some juice squirted out and into my eye while I was cutting and boy did it ever hurt!
That would smart.
Ouch!
It felt like I was going to go blind. Ouch is right!
LOL
I went to a funeral a few years ago and one of the grandma’s was making salsa. She was boiling the peppers and it turned into a gas bomb, driving everyone out of the house coughing and crying.
I went over and told my friend, she’s about 85, that her style was killing everyone. So in her tiny Mexican accent she says “I don’t know what their problem is. Maybe they’re not as Mexican as they think”.
I started laughing so hard.
She said “It doesn’t bother you?”
I laughed some more and “No” in a high pitch voice as I laughed and said “Look, let’s try something else so those weaklings can come back in”.
I pulled the chiles out of the pot and roasted them on the open flame.
Made some really terrific salsa. I love it as spicy as you can make it.
After an hour or so everyone was able to come back in the house.
You remind me of a woman I know. The hotter the better.
Personally I cannot take quite that much heat.
What is your favorite hot sauce? And which would you says is the hottest you've tasted?
Tabasco has a Chipotle flavor. Uhm, so good. I poor into a shallow bowl and dip a spoon in it while watching TV.
Or I like to take Roma tomatoes(they’re sweeter), Garlic(loads), Cilantro(Sweet herb), Red Onion(sweeter and less acidic), Cracked black and green pepper coarsely ground, Paprika and then some scotch bonnets or habeneros and grind them in a Food Processor.
When I make Wasabi, for myself, I make it with enough soy sauce to make mud and then I just sit there eating sushi and bounce my leg while tapping my feet from the pain.
That’s why I only order tuna and cucumber rolls. I can’t taste anything but the wasabi. Just the way I like it.
Also, one year for Passover, we used wasabi instead of the regular horseradish for our bitter herbs. It was so good. Mmm Mmm.
LOL
Wasabi is horseradish. They grind it into a powder and add food coloring.
I know, I know, I’m Cliff Claven.
Goes great on a Rueben.
Reminds me of an old joke sung to the tune of Love and Marriage.
She actually looks genuinely cheerful in this picture.
Charoset? I don’t know. I have a Jewish friend who can’t make up her mind what it’s for.
I think it’s for the bitter herbs.
She is acting funny today. LOL
We called another Maccabee and he says it’s the Maror.
Whatever. I just love the food, the prayers and traditions.
Now that I think of it, most people can’t make potato latke’s that don’t taste like ground up stone and just as heavy.
I could Wasabi and it would instantly make them edible. Yum!
Why is this night different from all the others?
Same friend as above is the only person who makes latkes that aren’t just edible or tasty. They are light, fluffy and just delicious!
She makes them better than anyone. Can’t wait til next month.
oops your correct...I’m sleeping at the wheel...how could I have forgotten that???
Yes, it is horseradish, but I beleive it is a different variety than the kind usually used for bitter herbs. But I don’t care. :-)
Shalom.
I only have 6 minutes of battery and need to drive by my office to grab a power cord.
And as for latkes, there are two different kinds. There are the ones made with potato flour into regular looking pancakes, and then there are those made from shredded potato, an egg, and a couple of tablespoons of flour. They come out tasting more like hash browns. I love hash browns (and most anything else fried) so I personally prefer those kind of latkes. But everybody has their different tastes and some folk's latkes are better than others.... :-)
Sounds like your friend found a good recipe for the flour ones!
You on a laptop? Is that your regualar computer or just the one you happen to be using right now?
And Shalom to you too. :-)
I’m back and plugged into AC.
