Washington, Mar 17 (PTI) The US military has launched a massive relief effort in the earthquake and tsunami hit Japan by deploying some 17,000 personnel and 15 ships off the coast of Japan.
Pentagon spokesman, Col Dave Lapan, in an off camera press briefing, told reporters that 14 naval ships along with their aircrafts and helicopters are already off the coast of Japan carrying out relief and rescue operation for the thousands of people affected by the devastating earthquake and the subsequent tsunami that struck Japan last week.
One more ship is scheduled to reach Japan by today, thus taking the total to 15.
I am quite sure Obama is getting an earful of complaints from the Islamic Elites about allowing the aid into Japan.
Japan would be a nearly impossible country to convert to Islam. If there was any remotely possible rumor about a man made tsunami attack upon Japan I would immediately suspect Islam.
Of course nobody wants to admit China is probably re-thinking strategy against Japan should they decide to flex their muscles.
But getting back to our military helping Japan, I saw a video of a helo specialist doing sign language about taking injured elderly away, amazing the training and professionalism.
very correct. Only, this is not “charity” but the hand of friendship. I would rather see our military going to help Japan in every possible way rather than going to libya
Good points all.
May God bless and protect our military from zer0’s influence.
