Sounds exactly like something Barry would do since he thinks he's in charge of the whole world. IMHO, I'd be surprised if it isn't true. It definitely answers the question I've wondered about, why there was no way to use emergency generators to restore power and solve the problem early on.

According to the unnamed senior official, US support was based on dismantling the troubled reactors run by Tokyo Electric Power (TEPCO) some 250 km (155 miles) northeast of Tokyo.

If the Kenyan Clown did insist on such an outrageous condition before aiding our ally Japan, then words fail me.

I realize that the Kenyan usurper hates and despises the United States but at least it's a country that foolishly chose him and will have to endure his tenure; extending such egregious vileness to a good ally like Japan would be beyond the pale.

Glad you posted this. I was just getting ready to.

This is OUTRAGEOUS! It's not the condition that Japan dismantle their nuke plant, but the fact that we placed a condition AT ALL!

As another poster on Karl's forum said: How is this any different than threatening to drop atom bombs on them if they don't dismantle the plant?

From the BBC live feed archive page:

2226The Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper, quoting a senior official of the ruling Democratic Party of Japan, said the US made the offer immediately after the disaster damaged Fukushima No 1 nuclear plant. According to the unnamed senior official, US support was based on dismantling the troubled reactors run by Tokyo Electric Power (TEPCO) some 250 km (155 miles) northeast of Tokyo. However, the government and TEPCO thought the cooling system could be restored by themselves, the report said.

Perhaps this explains why the US Military and/or civilian authorities didn't stick a couple of big-ass generators on a transport plane and get them over there, restoring power to the reactors within hours of the incident and avoiding all of the serious radiation and physical damage at the plant.

I've been asking this very question for days and nobody but me seems to care. I've been given all kinds of excuses, but no solid reasons. If Helos can carry apc's and trucks, I'm danged if I can understand why they can't carry and drop a few generators into the plant yard that could be connected within hours.

ANY electrical source, planes, ships, generators, ANYTHING that could trickle power into the pumps to keep the cooling system intact.

But I've been the only voice in the wilderness asking this question.

Bookmark for later reread after getting over the shock of the audacity of this Administration IF this turns to be truth, and apparently is, and wouldn’t put it past them, and I’m outta here.

Has anybody noticed the word “unbelievable!” with an exclamation mark isn’t used much anymore with reference to this administration?

I’m stunned.

He’s crapped on Poland, UK, Israel, Egypt, a South American ally, and now, if this is true, Japan. We will not have one single country in the world who will trust us when he’s done. If there are any left, now.

This needs to be investigated. There needs to be a group of Democrat and Republican Senators go into the oval office and tell him he’s resigning or they will spill every bean they have on him.
