There's a lot of reasons why getting involved with Libya's civil war is a mistake. One of the forgotten reasons is that we no longer have the resources.
HC, I think CJ was being sarcastic, lol
The U.N. is made up of/supports Islamo-Natzis and that is who we are fixing to help with the no-fly-zone.
France haz ships? Lol
They need to take some serious lessons from Japanese.
Since Arabs also in this..Egypt already sending military equipment etc...and they have the oil monies...let the Arabs pay for it. Right? Or am I dreaming....
It’s been said no NFZ will cost over 300 million a week.
“I wonder if this war will be televised.”
It might be on your local station before it’s all over.
Actually news said tonight they had been prepping things for this two weeks ago...maybe a week?..I wasn’t listening that carefully but they are not going to say “a matter of hours” to get started if they weren’t pretty much prepared for a go.
Now that the mighty U. N. has spoken, I look forward to it enforcing the no-fly zone all by it’s lonesome.
Libya is not a place that we’re going to go rescue and then watch it turn into a paradise on earth.
We’ll be dealing with bad outcomes in that nation for the rest of our lives.
The next crew of oppressors of the Libyan people will hate us every bit as much as Khadaffi did.
I suggest we allow our troops to sit this one out. Losing blood over Libya is about as worthless a thing to lose it over, as there is.
What was it, seven heads and ten horns? Something like that?
Yeah..”Why are we wound up about Frances oil supply”...they get 75% of their energy from nuclear power?
Don't you just hate typos?
When I drove along the coastline in June 2006 from Florida to New Orleans, debris was pretty well cleaned up everywhere I drove in Mississippi (Republican governor). When I got to Louisiana (Democrat governor) there was debris everywhere along the road and the radio programs were complaining that the federal govt.(Republican president) clean up program was about to end with a huge amount of cleanup still to be done. I don’t know who was at fault, I just know what I saw.
Here is a Market Watch report on the effect of the latest Libya decisions as well as the Japan crisis on oil prices.
If, the protesters / fighters against Qaddafi are protected the message to other protesters / fighters (except Iran's people protesting) may possibly be the ultimate goal of; go for it. Overthrow the leaders. Not being trusting of the UN, I sense something sinister afoot. I pray I am wrong.
Will the great intelligent leader nobama have to turn in his Nobel Peace Prize because he is invading a sovereign country and creating war? Is nobama becoming a war criminal?

Geeze. I have nothing against training dude. It is the principal of the matter that every time something catches fire in the world, the US military is the fireman. We go off to places and our people die for places I would not bother to even give away much less buy. Look, I have been to some places that were not worth a the big toe of an American military person, much less his life. Sorry, I see this from the point of view that is it worth it and why the heck are WE always the ones to have to do this crap. Everyone sits back and lets our people die for it while they simply give lip service. Then when we do actually do go on the offensive to do the right thing MOST of the time, the world gets in a hissy fit that we are throwing our weight around. I am just of the opinion that it is time that some of these lip service countries start paying the same price as our people. Let them bleed some.
