Fantastic, I just hope the R C uses it to do the most good and gives 100% to the Japan cause. I've been trying to find out just how much of the money that is given to the Red Cross is going to the cause and what percentage is drained off for the salaries of the money sucking administration.

The president of the American Red Cross was on with either Shep or Neil Cavuto yesterday and was asked about money being donated not actually going to the Japan crisis.

This, no doubt, arises from the stories back during hurricanes in Florida and then Katrina, about funds going to the "general fund" or not necessarily going to help a current crisis.

Instead, the president explained that 91% of every dollar donated goes directly to help victims of disaster. That is one of the highest percentages in the country. It doesn't answer the question that I think most people have, but it does explain how much is going to officers and administrative costs. 9%

A Red Cross spokeslady on Bill O'Reilly's show last night claimed that only 9 cents of every dollar goes to administration.

I find this hard to believe, but that's just me. I'd like to see that audited.
