The firing was designed for one purpose, and one purpose only - that is, to indicate to the world that once they have nukes they can send them anywhere on Earth.

Gee, can anyone put two and two together on this with me.

1) Iran now has space launch capabilities
2) Iran is working on creating their own nuclear bomb

Let’s see, nuclear bomb in orbit over the US.... BOOOOOOMM!!!

EMP anyone? Better stock up on food, fuel and a generator cause your gonna be outta power one day after they figure it out.

Talk about crippling a nation with one bomb.

The article says nothing about the flight that amounts to much. While the Iranians have launched at least one package into orbit - for how many orbits we do not know. Sputnik 1 was up there for about three months, Vanguard, launched after Explorer 1 by the United States is still in orbit, more than a half century later.

Was it sub-orbital, dangerous enough as a demonstration of warhead heft and aiming capability, their real intent here, not launching Space Monkeys, human or otherwise.

The story is deceptive, on its face because of what it leaves out. It's irresponsible to publish such a story without mentioning these and many other unknowns. That's part of the story too.

"Iran has launched its Kavoshgar-4 rocket carrying a test capsule into space."

It could have just as easily read that "Iran has launched its Kavoshgar-4 rocket carrying a test NUCLEAR weapon payload into space." In a decade Iran will be able to hit any point on the globe with nuclear weapons.
