So many conflicting stories, they have it under control, then they are in emergency mode & then OOPS, under control again!! Hard to know what to believe at this point!

There are thousands of dead in Japan, but I think these workers deserve special recognition.

The apocalyptic warnings are from French, again, and NRC with a couple of Brits.

I just don’t know how much stock to put in their predictions.

Maybe extreme radiation poisoning which was quite possible, you might be right, maybe the explosion, it doesn’t say, does it?

I don't think anyone's died from radiation.

Imagine the death toll had there been coal mines instead instead of nuke plants. That earthquake/tsunami would not have been any less harsh for workers in any industry.

BINGO! That is what I have been saying the entire time.

To be frank the Drudge Report has been correct and the government has been saying everything was okay regarding the Nuclear Reactors.

Pray for Japan.

Well the scum in the US like TARP-sucking General Electric who built the shoddy reactors have done nothing. General Electric - we suck up to prince al waleed and hussein while polluting rivers in NY state and we build shoddy reactors while spewing pro-Obam propaganda on MSNBC, CNBC, NBC.

GE - we bring death and shoddy products to the masses while taking TARP money for our worthless debt.

Has the US Navy been consulted on how to handle these problems? They’ve been running nuclear reactors for decades and if they’ve ever had a problem with them, it’s been too small for me to remember. I’ll bet they have some ideas for how to handle these situations.

I don’t think the government has been saying everything is ok.

They haven’t been as dire as the French, NRC and NYT.

We could see soon which direction was correct.

Prayers for the brave Japanese plant workers. God speed...

I don’t think anyone’s died from radiation-

If you dont mind me asking why don’t you think anyone has died from radiation?

The article says

“the doses they could experience would potentially be lethal doses in a very short period of time”.
