I don’t think they realize just how many guns there are or how tightly people will hold onto them.
I grew up in rural Michigan and every one of the little towns have more guns than people. There are many millions in Michigan alone.

I’ve recently met some young people from Idaho and Utah. I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised at the numbers of weapons they have - their own weapons, not their parents. Their parents also have considerable stashes.
I agree that these lib city slickers have no idea what’s out here in the rest of the country. My late husband was a Michigan boy who got a gun at 13 and was out on his own (w/buddies, sans parents) hunting. These folks are armed, are accurate shots, and aren’t going to let the government or anyone else take their weapons.
It does my cold little heart good to know the young people aren’t all wusses.
