Smoke Rising Near Troubled Fukushima Nuke Plant
TOKYO (Kyodo)--White smoke has been seen rising from around the No. 3 reactor of the quake-hit Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant since around 10 a.m. Wednesday, Tokyo Electric Power Co. said, noting it may be steam.
The development came after TEPCO, the operator of the plant, reported that a fire broke out again earlier in the day at the plant's troubled No. 4 reactor but that flames were no longer visible about 30 minutes later.
P!
This is a groundhog day nightmare.
Smoke or steam?
“I Got You Babe” keeps running through my brain.
I heard they are not sure at the moment. They described it as something like white gas.
White PLUTONIUM ENRICHED smoke has been seen rising from around the No. 3 reactor of the quake-hit Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant since around 10 a.m. Wednesday, Tokyo Electric Power Co. FIXED IT.
I guess the company just “forgot” that this reactor uses Mox fuel.
Then let’s see it.
Then let’s see it.

I am rooting for them,Brave bunch there,I can imagine a Union crew doing that here! 4:30 Clock out and 5 watching one work.
There is a poster here saying that the MOX fuel with plutonium is no big deal.
I asked him whether the International Commission on
Radiological Protection (ICRP) claim that safety precautions should be only a release of 1 MG of plutonium versus 2000 KG of uranium in a nuclear accident is a valid safety recommendation.
He never answered that question.
Black smoke or white smoke? Any dots and dashes?
White means it's plutonium enriched???
White means it’s plutonium enriched???
Looks like steam...........not smoke.
There are posters here who claimed that there was no housing bubble, that the war in Afghanistan was over in 2003, Obama winning the nomination guaranteed a McCain presidency, etc etc
No. It means they have a new Pope.
And that California is still a wonderful place to live.
You know , that reminds me of a photo of some school in Japan where there were some people needing rescue.
They needed help and a helicopter, so they made a signal in the yard.
They spelled out "SOS" and had an "H" in a circle (means need helicopter).
The oddity (to me) was that they didn't use JAPANESE letters, but English.
