Separate juries found two men guilty of murder today in the electrocution death of a Chicago man who fell onto the tracks during a melee on a CTA Red Line platform.
Maurice Evans, 25, and Antwaun Thompson, 29, were among four young men caught on Roosevelt subway station surveillance cameras kicking and beating Daniel McKenzie, 43, before he tumbled onto the electrified third rail.
Evans briefly buried his face in his hands and shook his head when the verdict was announced. Hours later, Thompson remained expressionless as his verdict was read aloud.

In a Melee? Next thing you know they will ban the R3 button.
...”Antwaun”....that’s all I need to hear.
Justice would be a ride on ol' sparky, but they'll get cable and Internet to complain on.
Defense atty named Gorelick?? Any relation to the infamous Jamie?
My favorite spelling of that name, popular here in the Washington, DC metro area, is “Antjuan.” I love it.
Well, what happened was not “murder”, to my pov anyway.
A fight started on the train, one of the deceased friends cut one of the other men with a box cutter, and things went from there, it is not as if they picked the man up and tossed him onto the tracks or could or should have known he would fall onto them.
Now they both will get 20 to 60 yrs at the taxpayers’ expense.
Yes, but society will get 25 to 60 years of reduced costs of crime and welfare benefits - so be sure to net that out of your equation.
“four young men caught on Roosevelt subway station surveillance cameras kicking and beating “
Nuff said
I suspect that the juries are just sick to death of thugs and are more than happy to put everyone involved away. Expect all other defendants to get the same treatment.
All these fights we see now, someone is always stomping on someone’s head and actual head-kicks, thereby clearly demonstrating actual intent to kill.
Sounds by the names two young black guys beat up and electrocuted an older white guy.
