Police And Firefighter Unions Demand Businesses Publicly Oppose Wisconsin Governor
http://radioviceonline.com/ ^ | March 15, 2011 | Steve McGough

Wow. Here is another reason public unions should not be allowed to collectively bargain with politicians running a local or state government. Union leadership – including those from law enforcement and firefighters – have sent letters out to local businesses demanding they publicly oppose the efforts of Wisconsin’s legislature and governor or face the consequences.

Not only are they suggesting they publicly oppose the fiscal-sanity measures in Wisconsin, they are flat out telling them they will publicly boycott businesses who do not proactively do so. From James Taranto’s opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal yesterday.

I hae lost all respect for cops and firemen in the last few years.

They have little or no consideration for the taxpayer when it comes to costs we cant bear any longer.

I respect the good cops and firemen, but I despise the union thug pigs.

Bolsheviks.

For any naively pro-LEO conservatives still hanging around with their heads in the sand, this should provide a bit of a wake-up call: should, but probably won’t.

Yup. I came to that conclusion a long time ago seeing many people i grew up with go into those professions and what they turned out to be.

Sad too. Good kids who became no different than welfare leeches, just with badges.

The Founders had an answer to thug law enforcement by British Tory occupiers called Committees of Safety. They worked well.

Say what you will about the mafioso, but they wear high quality tailored Italian suits - crime pays rather well.

Waiting for all the good little cops and firefighters to publicly stand up to their union leadership in the same way they stand up to bad cops in their ranks... /s

Time to end unions from any and all public employees, especially those in law enforcement and fire fighting.

I know that it's not necessarily the employees themselves but the thugish behavior of their union leadership and representatives leave a stench on the whole group - and fish stinks from the head down!

imagine police and firemen “boycotting” a business that does not support their union’s ideology

I recall a story here that recounted how firefighters stood by and let a man's house burn to the ground simply because he hadn't paid the fire ransom, er, insurance. They even laughed at him as he pleaded with them to act.

I would expect similar tactics from Wisconsin's finest...

This is illegal if I remember right: boycotting someone who doesn’t join your boycott, organizing against them - ‘secondary boycott’. Goodbye, unions. Goodbye, Democratic Party.

I wholeheartedly agree that the RICO statutes should be employeed but that would require an HONEST U.S. Department of Justice something that is sadly absent from the current junta.

The undersigned groups would like your company to publicly oppose Governor Walker’s efforts to virtually eliminate collective bargaining for public employees in Wisconsin. While we appreciate that you may need some time to consider this request, we ask for your response by March 17. In the event that you do not respond to this request by that date, we will assume that you stand with Governor Walker and against the teachers, nurses, police officers, fire fighters, and other dedicated public employees who serve our communities

The attachments are all pictures of notes on the bulletin board in the teacher’s lounge at Wausau West. The person who took the pictures went to Channel 7 with them and was assured that a story would be done. It’s been more than 48 hours and nothing has been aired, so the person sent them to me and gave me permission to forward them to you. This person wishes to remain anonymous. Not sure what the best plan of attack is, but I’m more than glad to help out with anything.

Also, the teachers union leader at WW wanted to set up a table at Trig’s Pharmacy to have kids sign letters to Governor Walker and then they would be given an apple. Trig’s management said NO! Good for them!!

Here is a sign posted inside a local high school in Wausau Wisconsin.
