Wisconsin's Secretary of State tells The Associated Press that he has decided not to publish a bill taking away public workers' collective bargaining rights until the latest day possible.
Secretary of State Doug La Follette said Monday that he decided to publish the law on March 25 in order to give schools and other local governments time to pass contract extensions between now and then.
La Follette says the law will take effect on March 26.
La Follette said he heard from many schools, cities and counties urging him to delay enactment of the law as long as possible.
The law is also being challenged in court. A hearing on that lawsuit, brought by the Democratic Dane County executive, was scheduled for Wednesday. A request for an emergency injunction to block the law was rejected on Friday.
The new law would not affect collective bargaining agreements that are already in place, which is fueling the decision by unions to reach deals as quickly as possible.

A negotiation by definition is between two parties with differing interests. The labor union obviously wants to get the best deal for its members, and the school board, city council, etc. SHOULD ATTEMPT to get the best deal possible for the TAXPAYERS they represent.
You may have been told by the union bosses, that the protest was about 'collective bargaining' rights, that the unions had already AGREED to the 5.8% pernsion contribution and to pay 12.5% of their health care costs. The agreements the unions are rushing to push through are 1-2-3 year deals where they keep the same contribution to their pension and health care as they have now, which in most cases in close to 0% for both!!!!
An inquiring reporter might ask themselves why on earth a school board would agree to a contract for the next couple years where the employees would not be asked to contribute the 5 and 12% the union bosses said had already been agreed to. After all, Governor Walker is going to cut state aid to schools and cities and cap property taxes, so how can these contracts be signed without any savings in health and pension costs? The answer is that the elected officials in many places in Wisconsin have been elected with union cash. Collective bargaining does NOT exist, it has been replaced with COLLUSIVE BARGAINING, where the union and their union cash dependant whores in elected office conspire to screw the taxpayer.
What is going on in Wisconsin, where a Democrat Sec of State can us the adminstrative power of their otherwise insginificant office to delay the implementation of this bill while the unions and their locally elected, union cash grubbing whore school board members and city councils pass more generous contracts which lock in the gravy train for the union members. This is organized theft, nothing short of a RICO violation.
The democrat pigs are charging the trough again.
Does it really matter when the bill goes into effect or what contracts are signed? Union dues will no longer be collected by the state and many members will decide not to pay dues. Union membership will decline significantly and so will union donations to democrats and other political activities.
The head of the snake has already been cut off. The courts will probably block the bill but then the senate can wait until they have a quorum and pass individual pieces of the bill again if needed. The fight isn’t over but the gov. won the first battle.
His great-grandfather and “Fighting Bob” La Follette’s father were brothers. Nuff said.
About as far left a family as there exists.
This is exactly what Soros and his ilk knew when they began a campaign to control all the Secretaries of State. True power often lies beneath the surface in the (57) states. Redistricting, and publishing laws are only a couple of the powers noted.
Fire the Secretary of State Doug La Follette. Pass a bill that no agreements can be signed until after the law is in effect. Force renegotiation of all union contracts.
These battles will not be won in court. These commies do not believe in laws but rather lawlessness. The only way is to expel them is by force.
A.K.A. the Wi. taxpayers...
The Rosetta Stone.
1) The public sector unions get lots of $$$ collected by the state from the state workers paychecks.
2) public sector unions flood the airwaves with commercials showing ‘average people’ actors saying that the Republican opponent is out of touch, paid with that money that came from taxpayers(to unions).
3) After the election the public sector union collective bargains with their (elected) union lackey's in Democrat party who they bought with public sector money collected in #2 and #1
4) The public sector unions get what they want $$$ without layoffs
5) The Democrat's raise taxes again, including regressive taxes like sales taxes and gasoline which is where all the revenue comes from. They raises taxes on 'the rich' too but this is largely symbolic since little revenue is collected from those increases, the rich change their behaviour much like prey in nature.
6) Repeat cycle
Move, countermove continues. OK, here is the countermove, pass a law re-defining the Wis Sec of State’s duties and obviate the need for him or her to publish laws. Pass the Union bill again and put it into effect immediately. Either that or pass a law making it a crime for a Sec. of State not to publish a bill within two days of its signature by the governor. Then throw the ass in jail.

Any exorbitant contracts passed between now and March 25 will counteract the good that the new law will do.
Let’s recall LaFollette.
My 1st thought was if one follows the history of the Communist LaFollette’s you’re find the upper Mid West was the birthplace of socialism in the US. WI even has a commie museum they are so proud of this heritage.
Don’t believe he can be fired as he is directly elected. He could probably be recalled.
