Republicans introduce legislation in the House and Senate to make English the official language of the U.S.
Republicans in both the House and Senate have introduced legislation that would declare English the official language of the United States and require the development of English language testing guidelines for those applying for U.S. citizenship.
The English Language Unity Act would set out a new chapter in U.S. code that imposes an obligation on U.S. officials to "preserve and enhance the role of English as the official language of the Federal Government."
Part of this chapter would include a "uniform English language rule" holding that "all citizens should be able to read and understand generally the English language text of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the laws of the United States made in pursuance of the Constitution."

As many have us have said when Obama appointed another stupid tsar of something or other while the economy was going south, "Remember: priorities". I'm not particularly against the bill in question although I doubt it will really change things at all. But the elephant in the room is that we voted Republicans in to take action against the deficit and the economy, two huge problems that needed to be seriously addressed years ago. The leadership hasn't done s**t about the deficit and they keep delaying, apparently hoping that the economy will pick up and voters will stop caring despite the fact that we're spending increasing amounts of money we don't have. This party looks a lot like the GOP of 2005, a country club.

If we loose our culture, what are we conserving?
If our citizens don't know the principles of this country, and it is led by leftist racial demagogues, how will our budget ever be balanced? It will be appropriate from whitey, not look at the common good.

Thank you for composing the bulk of my latest message to my Representative, Justin Amash (R-MI), which I share with you:
Message Subject: "English Language Unity Act"-- Good, But Remember Priorities
Message Text: I'm in favor of the bill in question, although I doubt it will really change things at all. The elephant in the room is that we voted you Republicans in to take action against the deficit and the economy, two huge problems that needed to be seriously addressed years ago. Action on these issues has been inadequate at best, and you seem to be delaying. You (collectively) appear to hope that the economy will pick up and voters will stop caring despite the fact that we're spending increasing amounts of money we don't have. This reminds us of the GOP of 2005, which was rejected at the polls. STANDARD BOILERPLATE: The next Michigan Primary is in 351 days. We, who elected you, are watching.

The most important reason for English being the official language of the U.S. is that so many oppose it. They are those who favor a polyglot society that ignores American history.

The leftist racial demagogues are already in positions of power all over the country and are busy bankrupting the country, and the vast majority of them speak English fluently. Don’t look to Washington DC to preserve our culture.

1. The 1965 Immigration Act, the misuse of the Civil Rights Act are two of the biggest threats to our common culture.
2. Said demagogues are elected by people whose English is often limited, and who get information from leftist grievence lobbies posing as news groups. Show me a conservative Spanish Station.
