Condom failure?
If Queens were elected, they’d have Elton John swishing through Buckingham Palace.
Ever since the schools went from teaching the 3 “R”s to teaching the 2 “C”s (Condums and cucumbers), everything has gone down hill.
She hires a red diaper doper baby named Axelrod out of Chicago as her campaign manager
Congratulations, you are the last person in the world to know this. I guess everyone has to be known for something.
You should tell that to Princess Diana, who suggested in Panorama that the monarchy succession skip over Charles and go straight to William instead.
I have some stupid posts, but this takes the cake..
Hardly Diana’s suggestion. And it’s very likely to happen.
The Queen herself is only half-German. Her mother was Scottish. Her mother’s parents were Scottish, about as non-German as you can get. Prince Philip is Danish and Russian on his father’s side, with Polish and German thrown in on his mother’s side.
King Arthur was selected when he was handed a simitar by some watery bint, right?
Everything I learned about Royality Was learned from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
You don’t know a facetious post when you see it?
I am real tired of the Monarchy supporters that continually post their support for a friggin’ QUEEN and “Royals”.
Uh, it was a JAB at the monarchy lovers here.
Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. was born Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark.
This has got to be the dumbest thread of the day. Why is this in news/activism? Puh-leese.... Queens and kings don’t get elected. Did you ever go to school?
You need to work on making your jabs more obvious so you don’t sound like an idiot.
The Greek royal family is Danish. Philip’s mother was Russian.
Duh. She pulls the sword Excalibur out of a stone.
A long time ago an English friend put it perfectly. In the US, we have a Constitution that is the embodiment of our moral and national identity. In the UK, that lays in the Royal family. They no longer are dictators like a century or two ago, instead, they are a unique thing that makes England, England. When a young man goes off to war, he fights for the Queen, a personification of fighting for his country.
The Queen in particular, is the face and the soul of England. She represents their history, their future, and what they strive to be.
Yes, it doesn’t always make sense to us, but American culture is very different from European culture. I don’t begrudge them for it.
Something about “divine right”.
