The world's most (in)famous hacker group - Anonymous - known for effectively shutting down their hacking nemesis security firm (with clients such as Morgan Stanley and, unfortunately for them, Bank of America)- HBGary, advocating the cause of Wikileaks, and the threat made by one of its members that evidence of fraud by Bank of America will be released on Monday, has just launched communication #1 in its Operation "Empire State Rebellion."
The goal - engage in "a relentless campaign of non-violent, peaceful, civil disobedience" until Ben Bernanke steps down and the "Primary Dealers within the Federal Reserve banking system be broken up and held accountable for rigging markets and destroying the global economy effective immediately."

The New York branch of the Fed is very powerful and #2 in command after the Washington DC Federal Reserve. Wikipedia explains why. William Dudley runs it and guess what. He worked at Goldman Sachs for 20 years. This Dudley guy was the one who said to a crowd that inflation was low. One example he had was that the new iPad2 has more features but at the same price. The crowd was angry and felt insulted

The president of the New York Federal Reserve Bank doesn’t normally face a raucous crowd.
But in Queens, New York, on Friday, William Dudley was bombarded with questions about food inflation, and his attempt to put rising commodity prices into a broader economic context only made things worse.
“When was the last time, sir, that you went grocery shopping?” one audience member asked.
Dudley tried to explain how the Fed sees things: Yes, food prices may be rising, but at the same time, other prices are declining. The Fed looks at core inflation, which strips out volatile food and energy costs, to get a better sense of where inflation may actually be heading.
So, Dudley sought an everyday example of a price that is falling.
“Today you can buy an iPad 2 that costs the same as an iPad 1 that is twice as powerful,” he said referring to Apple Inc’s (AAPL.O) latest handheld tablet computer hitting stories on Friday.
“You have to look at the prices of all things,” he said.
This prompted guffaws and widespread murmuring from the audience, with one audience member calling the comment “tone deaf.”
“I can’t eat an iPad,” another quipped.

Nah, we in power at the Federal government don’t see any inflation...maybe that is because we are paid so much that we don’t care about you slobs in fly-over land having to pay 30%-40% more for food. We don’t have to buy groceries like you do because we only eat at the finest Capitol Hill restaurants for free, either on our government expense accounts or the those of the lobbyists!
These same hackers support Wikileaks, Julian Assange (sp?), and Private Manning. They have threatened to hack computer systems on the base where Manning is being held.
The folks over at DemocraticUnderground are big fans of this hacking group.
They better be careful.
When the powers that be REALLY feel threatened, they take you out.
That’s an eye-opening revelation about Cain. Which follows the principle..”if it’s too good to be true, something stinks underneath”.
Reminds me of Scott Brown hysteria a year ago.
These are the same twits who break into private email accounts such as Palin’s and who adore Bradley Manning for leaking classified information because of his selfishness and his anger at US military prohibitions on openly gay behavior. seems they have a corruption problem of their own.
Thanks for the info.
Paulestinians/Rontards?
Or the Chris Christie (gun-grabber, pro-Mosque) nonsense this year...
I wonder they’re the group who hacked into the climate labs and got us the phoney lying statistics on global warming. I’ll never forget those guys and when I remember say a prayer for them.
Anonymous are a double-edged sword...
Why would the Fed want to hurt the U.S. economy ?
The more money people earn and the wealthier everyone becomes, the more money banks can earn.
Every U.S. business wants U.S. citizens to acquire more wealth, unless the industry they are in has, as it’s exclusive customer base, poor people. Like, for example, a check-cashing service. Once people get a bank account, they don’t need the expensive ripoff of a check-cashing service.
Banks in wealthy towns have a wealty customer base and can make a lot more profit. If everyone is broke and out of work, a bank is out of customers.
