"My son is at Schoefield Barracks with the 25th ID. He’s there with his wife and twin sons (and, she’s pregnant). He was awaken shortly after the earthquake, and went shopping for supplies. I would surmise that the Army would be called in to help in any disaster due to the tsunami."

I was at Schofield '82-'85. The Division helped with the clean-up after Hurricane Iwa in '82. One soldier was killed during the clean-up operation.

One advantage to Schofield Barracks in the event of a massive Tsunami is it's elevation. It would take a thousand meter wave to flood the Quads.
