Well heavens!
Mrs. Obama was gaining a lot of traction as the fashion icon for the everywoman when all of a sudden she stepped out of the Michellemobile reportedly Monday grasping a $1,000 tote bag.
Take a look-see!

I have a long, camel coat - wool/alpaca blend - that was originally $750 - I got for $5.50. One can dress to the nines on a paupers pocketbook - and have much classier pocketbooks, to boot. That thing shelly has looks like a plastic grocery bag - and yes, those brilliant blue shoes that match NOTHING just stick out like a neon light.
For 1k I can get the best maxpedition bag and stuff it w the best tshtf items.
Its called priorities. Michelle antoinette and her maddoffian husband don’t have any I can identify w on any level.
ping a ling a ding dong!
There is an ugly phrase for that I won’t use here. I would get banned.
LOL!
Darn! I just posted on another thread.
(Thanks for the ping, tol!)

Anyone else here recall the RATION OF EXCREMENT Nancy Reagan used to get from the MSM on the subject of her wardrobe...?
Nancy Reagan's Fancy Freebies May Cost the Former First Couple a Pretty Penny in Back Taxes
$10 bucks says the purse was with one of her boob-belts.
Very high quality and with a lifetime warranty. However, their highest-end bags (nearly $2000) only cost around $50 to make with all manufacturing costs factored in.
Even with marketing, shipping and retail overhead beyond the factory, I can't see how they justify such prices. I think the status and hype is more important than the quality. Not-hyped manufacturers that make the same quality similar-looking bags but charge “only” a few hundred don't do too well while chinese knockoffs fly off the shelves.
What’s wrong with the bag?
She can get at least 40,000 calories of fried chickens and barbecued ribs in that. You don’t want to see Michelle stuffing plastic baggies with her food stash, do you?
And quit bullying her, honkies. Now run along and eat your tree bark and grass.
We stumbled upon a Coach outlet in Old San Juan last month. The buys were simply incredible. My daughter-in-law shops at one in So. CA. and has gotten some fabulous bags.
Let me ask you this, do you consider it conservative to buy a very expensive patio set once in your life or to buy inexpensive patio furniture every 3 to 5 years? Do you buy a handbag with seams that fray, materials that wear after a year or one that will last a lifetime? I spend my money wisely. The first thing i spent it on was eliminating totally wasteful interest payments. I often think people do not understand what conservative really is. With money, it is being prudent and planning. Getting the most for it in the long view, not using it for short term gratification. It is not measured in how little you pay buying junk that wears out quickly.
I shop at close outs for Saks Off Fifth, Neiman Marcus Last Call, etc. I have $400-500 dollar shoes that I pd. $49.99 for. Unfortunately Chanel and LV are never on sale. I usually pay no more for my designer label stuff than my friends pay for their stuff they get at Target.
The saddest part is, isn’t this what we’ve come to expect from Mrs. Obama? She has no taste. She has no grace. She has no class. The toothless old lady working behind the counter at the gas station on the corner possess far more of each.

Good for you!!!
As a conservative I shop around on Craig’s List and buy lots of GOOD QUALITY things second hand. I would NEVER in this life spend a thousand dollars for a handbag or any handbag. I spend my money more wisely than you it seems for I would not agree that spending a thousand dollars on a handbag is a good investment in fact it’s nothing but a total waste of money. I live debt free...my house is PAID for, my vehicle is PAID for, no credit card debt, raise my own food and NO I would not agree that spending a lot of money on an item guarantees quality. I reuse and recycle, that to me is being more conservative than spending gobs of money for unnecessary things like handbags and patio furniture.
You and I are both debt free so we agree on that. Second hand is also very good place to find things. On hand bags, we disagree.
