The Obama administration weighed in Thursday on the chaos in Madison, Wis.
White House press secretary Jay Carney said that Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walkers decision to force a bill on public employee union bargaining rights through the state Senate on Wednesday night was a clear sign that his top priority was not budget-cutting.
The actions taken last night, which divorced the issue of the states budget problems from the issue of the rights of public sector employees, pretty clearly showed that the actions were not following the principle that we need to all come together and work together and not denigrate or vilify public sector employees, but bring them into the process, Carney said.
He later reinforced that idea in a tweet, writing, POTUS says we must come together & set aside partisanship to fix our budgets. Actions last night in Wisconsin violate those principles.
Carney reiterated the presidents stance that everyone, including public-sector employees, needs to make sacrifices to cut spending, but that budget shortfalls should not be used to denigrate or vilify public employees.

I scrolled back to the top to see if this was a satire story.
No sweat, Corney. Public employees do that to themselves very effectively already, thank you.
Obama passed obamacare without republicans
Obama put in a 105 billion slush fund without republicans
Obama plays the fiddle while rome burns.
Obama has no principles.
Wait. Since “to denigrate something” means to attack the reputation of it, I’m not sure how you could even do that to a govt employee. how do you lower the reputation of somebody who already has a low a reputation as possible.
You’re giving idiots a bad name.
Satire was my first thought too. I scrolled back up, and pinged John Semmens at reply 56.

You do know what Jim Robinson you are talkin to, don’t you????
I think (hope) he was trying to imply that JimRob was unfairly lumping BHO in with the rest of us idiots... -
LOL, ya think he knows Jim pays the rent on this joint?
Emperor 0bama’s principles must be obeyed.
Bipartisanship, like when the lib-dems
ran away, refusing to debate the other
party like men....
“vilifying....” No straw man here!
But vilifying “teabaggers” is always
called for.
” think he knows Jim pays the rent on this joint? “
Well, he signed up in 2006, and a quick glance at his posting history wouldn’t seem to indicate “deep cover troll”, so, I’d have to say, yes, he probably has a glimmering of a clue about JimRob.....
Bipartisanship is a one-way street.
‘Bipartisanship’ is the Republicans* sittin’ on the poach, singin’ da praises of Massa Barack....
(*See also — “John McCain”)
Obama has replaced the Bill of Rights and the Constitution with his own "Principles?"
Another WTF moment?
How about that. This is in chapter 9 of ‘One Term Presidencies’-for-dummies.
Is that like the Kwanzaa Principles? Just asking...
Good luck, guy.
*chuckle*
RE: “Violating 0bama principles is an excellent first step towards legitimacy, as far as Im concerned.”
**************
Absolutely! Obama’s ‘principles’ are Marxist so the sooner we violate them, the better!
Carney is perfect for this job. Notice that behind him there is usually a stack of plates you can throw dimes at and win a prize!
“Obama principles” is an oxymoron.
