Thousands of protesters pushed past security, climbed through windows and flooded the Wisconsin Capitol on Wednesday night after Senate Republicans pushed through a plan to strip most public workers of their collective bargaining rights.
Within an hour and a half of the vote, the protesters had seized the building's lower floors, creating an ear-splitting free-for-all of pounding drums, screaming chants, horns and whistles. Police gave up guarding the building entrances and retreated to the third floor.
Protester Damon Terrell, 19, called Senate vote a "despicable travesty."
"They know what they're doing is wrong," he said. "Which child hides what they were doing: the one doing their homework or the one that was messing around?"

Somehow I do not think these are teachers. They are Commie rabble.
Someone call a waaaaambulance.
Anyway does anyone on the left work in WI?
I WANT MORE OF YOUR MONEY!......I WANT MORE OF YOUR MONEY!......I WANT MORE OF YOUR MONEY!......I WANT MORE OF YOUR MONEY!......I WANT MORE OF YOUR MONEY!......
Something tells me that the average American out there is not going to respond favorably to seeing the streets of his country being turned into a scene from Evita.
The Left may well overplay their hand here and reawaken the great Nixon Silent Majority, just as the SDS and hippie nonsense did back in the 70’s.
Do any of these protesters really have a dog in the fight? I’d bet 95% DO NOT!

19? So college students are the protesters? At the age of 19 a run in my panty hose was a despicable travesty! Try having a job where you work hard only to see 30% of your paycheck garnished to pay union perks. Then we’ll talk.
Welcome to mob rule. Get used to it, as the original concept for this country becomes forgotten and abandoned by a certain element.
I swear, these “protesters” are acting more and more like two year olds throwing a tantrum.
And I couldn’t help noticing the SEIU purple-shirts among those breaking and entering through the windows on the news this morning.
Obama got his thugocracy. Now what?
It s a rent a mob. Just ridiculous. What a losing bet.
Yeh I think it was mostly college kids. Doesn’t Spring break start in a week or so? They will all be off to WPB and Ft Lauderdale to irritate everybody down there soon enough.
WTMJ 620 am reporting that the mob has taken control of the building and are banging on the windows and doors of offices. They are not sure it the vote in the assembly to pass the bill will occur on time or even today.

Senate Republicas pushed though a plan to “limit the powers of government employees to collectively bargain.”
I noticed the above language is what Governor Walker used in his WSJ piece this morning.
With them it is Spring Broke.

They MUST vote today. Stand up to these bullies, DO NOT back down! That will only encourage them!

My guess is that they will show their true colors today and trash the capital. They are too used to getting their way and loss of power is usually ugly. I hope the tea party folks showing up to record this stuff are level headed and put safety first.
Oh, if you were only right. Sadly, the average American of today is a purposely dumbed-down, distracted by tech gadgets buffoon that unfortunately votes. We are observing the sunset of our republic.
I don’t understand why the WI legislature didn’t do this much sooner.
I saw last night the teachers in Wisconsin run to the Capital Building after this vote took place. Wonder how many of those same teachers would run to the schools they teach at for an extra hour of lessons to help students having trouble, or parent meetings, or planning tougher curriculum lessons? After all this is all about the children?
