Dear readers,
Apologies for my absence. I’ll be getting back up to speed today, but it is hard to function with dread coursing through your veins.
Spread across the country, the family and friends of Marizela Perez — missing in Seattle since Saturday and last seen at the University District Safeway — are going through this:
You try to eat, but all you can taste is indigestible fear.
You try to breathe, but all that fills your lungs is stifling uncertainty.
You try to sleep, but all that comes is fathomless fatigue.
Your heart is weighted with grief, but your soul refuses to mourn.
On Monday, we walked UW’s University District — passing out flyers, checking campus-area hotels and motels, and visiting the Safeway where she was last spotted.
Still no sign of Em-em after she walked out of the store Saturday afternoon.
Deepest thanks to all of you who have helped spread the word about her disappearance.
Seattle-area readers: Please, please, please continue to keep an eye out, especially if you live/work/walk/jog/shop in or around the University District.

Possible Routes: Sound Link Light Rail stations, downtown/Chinatown areas, UW Seattle campus, U-district
Description – Asian female, 5’5” tall, 110 lbs, skinny build, asymmetrical bob with short bangs and brown/red highlights hairstyle, tattoo on left inner arm with the words ‘lahat ay magiging maayos’ (Tagalog, meaning ‘all will be well’), last seen wearing a dark hooded jacket, denim jeans, light brown suede laced boots, possibly wearing green eye contacts, possibly carrying a denim drawstring bag with rainbow butterfly screenprint (not the plaid backpack that was before mentioned) with a Macbook Pro laptop, taking medication for depression

This is nothing short of serious. She’s a young college student, probably on her own for the first time in her life, being medicated for depression. Here’s hoping for the best.
Prayers for this beautiful girl and for her family/friends. I cannot imagine the fear they must be experiencing. May the Lord give them strength and courage during this difficult time. I am hoping that the police can do something with the cell phone or pull camera footage to give some sort of clues. I am praying that all is well. Amen

I hope Malkin has saved the addresses of all the hatemail and threats she has received. Check if any of them are in the relevant area.
I thought the same thing - saw this for the first time on Fox and Friends this am - Michelle looked stong but close to tears. I will pray for their family and her cousins safe return. What a nightmare.
