He was the one vote that came in against the budget repair bill. He won his election with 63% of the vote in 2010, so he must hale from a conservative district. He's been in the state senate since the early nineties. We can't afford representatives who don't understand the fiscal situation we're in.
Most people have probably never heard of him.
When you post something like this you should probably mention which state you are talking about.
Wisconsin...thought that would be obvious given the events tonight, but I guess not everyone is following it as closely as I am.
Psssst...every officeholder deserves one or more primary opponents and general election opponents. No officeholder deserves to be automatically reelected.
What, and take all the sport out of it? :o)
My roots are in his district, although when he first ran for the Assembly I was living near and working in Madison. It is a rather conservative district, and at that time he was more conservative, IMO, than he is today.
AGAIN!!!!....another freaking post without State and town!!!!!
WHo the hell are you talking about???!!!!
Why wait ? Recall his ass and replace him with a bonafide Conservative.
It is obvious and yes he should be hit and hit hard. I know the Richland Center area and it’s rural and far removed from the Madistan sphere of liberalism. True La Crosse is somewhat that way too but if he’s truly hearing this from his constituents, why aren’t the other Republican senators hearing the same thing? I call BS on him, he’s just chicken to cross the union. Maybe comes from a big union family? I dunno but this decision needs to mark the end of his political career. He proved he doesn’t have what it takes.
In addition to Wisconsin these budget conflicts are going on simultaneously in Indiana, Ohio, New Jersey and several other states as well.
Schultz's wife is a teacher.
I’m going to say no and here’s why. Schultz did show up and he’ll show up with needed votes on a lot of things the next 60-days. He didn’t do an Arlen Spector or any of that crap, even though he voted against this.
We just need to make sure we keep the recall pressure on the fleebag 14. What we don’t want to have happen is the GOP let up, and have all the recall elections end up being against GOP’ers.
So don’t waste energy on Schultz. Focus time and money on keeping our 18 strong State Senators in there.
“Schultz’s wife is a teacher”...OHHHHHHHH....
Schultie is going to have to pay for his defection.
... he has a lot of ‘splainin ta do.
Even though I'm far from Wisconsin here in Texas, I've certainly heard of this weasel for his vote opposing freedom and individual liberty, He was the one oddball voting for union thugs in the 18-1 Wisconsin Senate vote.
This vote reveals that Dale Schulz is clearly on the wrong side and is not a Constitutional Conservative.
At least, we know who wears the pants in Schultz’s family.
Wisconsin Senator Dale Schult’z wife WAS a teacher. She is currently an “Administrator” in a Richland Center school.
As an elected County Supervisor (Commisioner) in Wisconsin, I have known Dale Schultz for a long time and have worked with him on a few occasions. He started out as a “conservative” but has since moved more to the left of center in his political ideals.
I can only say that I am quite disappointed with his non-support of the Governor’s Budget Repair Bill.
Perhaps sleeping in a “cold bed” is not something he would have looked forward to had he supported the Governor’s Budget Repair Bill. (just sayin.....)
He is a squish. I have watched him at campaign events, standing alone in a corner like a robot. His personality is also robot-like. He has always struck me as believing he is above the constituents.
Richland Center is not that conservative. They have always had more industry there than in surrounding counties. Dale’s wife is a school administrator.
I don’t know how vulnerable he is. Besides what remains of industry in Richland County, there are a lot of farmers and some are very large operations raising vegetables for Libby and Green Giant. perhaps these folks are conservative for Democrat supporters, but I am unsure how many would be Tea Party supporters.
To go against his entire caucus says a lot about Dale. Evidently, his support is more than local and more than GOP.
Any idea who might run against him? I am hearing nothing at the moment from the few influential small business owners I know in Richland County.
