The Northwest Report March 8, 2011 By Art Robinson © 2011

In an effort to do my part in rescuing our country from the out-of-control Obama administration, last year I ran for Congress in Oregon’s 4th District against 12-term incumbent, far-left Democrat Peter DeFazio, co-founder of the House Progressive Caucus.

Although I won the nominations of the Republican, Independent and Constitution Parties and the endorsement of the Libertarian Party, a massive media smear campaign by DeFazio, paid for with money raised by MoveOn.org and from special interests favored by DeFazio in Washington, resulted in a 54.5 percent to 43.6 percent victory for DeFazio in a race that was expected to be much closer.

Although I had never run for public office before, I immediately announced my candidacy for Congress again in 2012.

However, when you take a stand for what’s right, sometimes there is retribution.

On Nov. 4, 2010, as soon as the election results were in and they were sure their candidate had won, faculty administrators at Oregon State University gave new meaning to the term “political payback.”

They initiated an attack on my three children – Joshua, Bethany and Matthew – for the purpose of throwing them all out of the OSU graduate school, despite their outstanding academic and research accomplishments. OSU is a liberal socialist Democrat stronghold in Oregon that received a reported $27 million in earmark funding from my opponent, Peter DeFazio, and his Democrat colleagues during the last legislative session.

OSU Alumni are not far left however.

The Oregon college system is controlled by the state congress...take the congress, take the colleges. Then Purge.

This crap has gone far enough.

Problem is you can’t “purge” - “tenure” prevents it.

You have to eliminate tenure first.

And that will be in the courts for years.

Our problem is we can’t commit to long-term fights. If we could, then we could get rid of this.

My solution is that anyone who’s got decent intelligence, and is conservative, and perhaps is out of work or under-employed now, to go galt as much as possible, and spend the bulk of their time working to lay a foundation down to take out these liberal bastions: universities, courts, state houses. Specific goals, specific people to remove from office or the bench.

When this issue came up several days ago. some wanted to give the school the benefit of the doubt. Well I think it is VERY clear that this bunch of “academic” are nothing more than school bullies.

Must make them feel reeeaaallly powerful, trying to destroy the lives of young people that are working their butts off at this supposed institution of higher learning. Seems to me it’s run by a bunch of immature pathetic lefties using Jr. High tactics.

What a scary story. I know my father had parts of his doctoral thesis plagiarized by his faculty advisor. Another doctoral candidate contacted him years after he got his Phd to tell him.

It's actually simple; isolate them, and marginalize them. We've all seen it done in other professions, and it is what they do the conservatives. What comes around goes around.

They can be on staff for life, but they can be removed from the catalog, given remedial tasks (to be nit picked) and stashed in a singlewide on the ugly side of campus.

Academics are too full of self importance to put up with that for long. They have life long “jobs”, but not status. They need the status. Otherwise....I agree, Go Galt. Recolonize America before some other culture does.

Oregon State University gave new meaning to the term “political payback.”

Say, that's where the Portland Christmas Tree bomber came from.
