Schiller and Schiller are themselves xenophobes... they despise, even hate, conservatives for their views on abortion, homosexuality, size of government, the fact that people on the conservative side of the human spectrum are intelligent and provoke rational thought in others, and because most producers are conservative and want to be unencumbered so as to pursue their dreams. There is after all, some legitimacy to being xenophobic, particularly if it means protecting ones inalienable right to human freedom of conscience, thought and the pursuit of human fulfillment.

“Schiller and Schiller are themselves xenophobes”

Uh....I was going to issue a mild correction since IIRC, “xenophobia” means `irrational fear of foreigners or the foreign’ and is usually used by liberals against conservatives whom they see as bigoted toward illegal aliens, Muslims, `people who are different from us’, etc.

But instead I think you’ve hit on something. I listened to that tape and was reminded that to liberals, anything outside their own narrow world or frame of reference in terms of ideology or beliefs is in fact alien and hostile and foreign to them. So in that sense, NPR liberals really are xenophobes, no doubt about it. Congrats!

But then take note of how the Schiller people find nothing at all alien and hostile about two Islamofascists advancing their goal of imposing Shar’iah law on the world which the actors clearly stated at the beginning of their lunch together. They got along rather famously, on the videotape.

But Schiller & Schiller would recoil in disgust and revulsion if introduced to a Tea Partyer. No doubt.
