His only mistake is saying it publicly. Personally I'd be writing letters to the Warden and Parole Boards telling them I forgive this creep, that I'm sure he's turned his life around, etc.

Most likely, the man will not kill his son's murderer. But, if people do agree to fund men who are willing to carry out punishment for this crime I believe some change may come. Pedophiles can not be cured. While I do not support the death penalty, I can understand a man's need to rid society of this type of predator. Anyway, I would certainly contribute to a legal defense fund for this man.
