Give me $238,000 in cash and I’ll suddenly feel better as well.
Sounds like Hollywood, would be a good script.
That was one extraordinarily agile thief. Those airplane bathrooms are barely big enough to accomplish the necessary business!
Sounds like he got away with it.... so far.
"he said he'd split it with me"
He’s on an island, how far could he get?.......
Working in the thief's favor is that all the natives of this island look alike and that he is more than likely related to the Governor of the Island, or the next one.
What's frog for "inside job?"
Must have been an inside job to some degree for this guy to know the money was there.
I love it when a plan comes together brilliant heist i hope he gets away with it
Yep, the Brinks guy put $1.6m in there. The thief stole $238,000.
Fortunately, the police recovered the remaining $1,500.
Well, St. Martin is split into a French side and a Dutch side. I wonder if one side gives him immunity from the other.
Seriously, the airline has to know who he is. And the police on the island who she is.
My bet is that someone in security at the airport got a share to facilitate the ambulance--no, no ambulance please routine--and let him leave bypassing "the normal security checks".
The article makes it sound like the investigation ended when the woman didn't have any money on her. Well, right now she must know where he is.
Well, from now on, when you see passengers with blue skin coming off the plane, you'll know who has tried this.

They normally load cash into the hold through the bathroom? Sounds inefficient.
bttt
Maybe it’s our tax dollars and one of our diligent, underpaid government workers was busy flushing it...as they always do with our hard-earned money.
Read the first sentence of this article. Apparently the writer was educated by a union teacher.
So what, they flushed the money down the toilet?
Reminds me of the geniuses who robbed a store on an island with only drawbridge access. Local officials went to the drawbridge and waited there for them show up.
Clever heist. Most criminals are nearly retarded
