continue to hi-jack the thread. I remember Spock went into a room full of radiation to save the ship and couldn't come out. He and Capt Kirk talked through the glass wall. His body was then shot into space and it landed on a new planet just started by some Genesis experiment. Spocks body landed there and a few cells survived and grew a new Spock but with no memory. The doctor had his consciousness and it was returned to him in a later show...
