The Mexican Constitution says that the people have the right to have guns ... subject to the government deciding if they should or not... effectively rendering the guarantee worthless.

Regulating alcohol, tobacco and firearms are not enumerated powers granted to Congress in Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution. Therefore the mere existence of the BATFE is Unconstitutional and must be abolished!

Break some eggs? WTF? Try to take my guns/ammo and I will “bust some caps.”

It is a Mexico problem. That is why nobody wants to live there. Duh!

Rush covered this yesterday. He read most of what the whistle blower reported.

He also emphasized , the left has tried to paint the gun violence on the border as due to American guns and our 2nd amendment, when this ATF gun walking policy is the real issue. (Paraphrase)

Some Mexican journalist thinks Obama can just up and veto the Constitution? What a maroon! He doesn’t know a thing does he? LOL! /s/

It is kind of funny that a mexican journalist who will probably have his head sawed off by a cartel hit for a bad article or whatnot is against firearms in the US.

This is not too far fetched for the attitudes of people in this country either -- don't like something?, do away with it.

As to the subject at hand, is there any govt agency more hated than the BATF and E? If there is one (maybe the IRS?), I'm unaware.

This agency needs to have its wings SERIOUSLY clipped. The only way to do this is through DE-FUNDING. SERIOUSLY.

A side story — good to see MSM (CBS) doing their job and actually investigating facts to a story.

Until we send in an army and change the government of Mexico (again), this is Mexico’s problem. After Zachary Taylor defeated the Mexicans, we should never have given Mexico back. It would have been a territory and then, eventually, states; and all these problems we have would have gone away.

Seems to me this is nothing short of Treason.

“The Constitution of the United States, Art. III, defines treason against the United States to consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid or comfort. This offence is punished with death. By the same article of the Constitution, no person shall be convicted of treason, unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.”

Giving guns to criminals or military troops on the other side of our border is treason. Every person that had anything to do with this should be put on trial and shot by firing squad if found guilty. And no matter what the ATF, BATF, BATFE or whatever they call themselves this week must be utterly destroyed, and the sooner the better.

You can forget about fubo’s birth certificate, or his unwillingness to protect and enforce the constitution... the murder of a federal agent, along with the cover up, and the blatant violation of international treaties, are all impeachable offenses..... at a minimum, janet nap and the asshole holder are in prison, unless pardoned by fubo....when the SHTF, he will be gone. Only problem is we end up with joe bite-me....

The Mexican Urinalist like many of the US Urinalists proved that he is dumber than a pan of refried beans.

Fixed. Mexico is lawless.

As for the BATFE, it is mostly made up of thugs. It wants to give the impression that it is legal gun sales in this country that are leading to deaths in Mexico. The only surprising part of this story is that CBS decided not to play along and exposed this evil plan.

From your source article, the money quote:

Basically, he asks why Obama doesn't "veto" the American people's right to keep and bear arms. Obama did not answer, "I wish it were that easy," but it's not hard to imagine that he was thinking along those lines. Instead, he dodged with, "I believe in the Second Amendment," but that there are ways to interdict gun trafficking without violating the right to keep and bear arms (not having the federal gun law enforcement agency actively participate in that trafficking might help, eh, Mr. President?).

To retrieve that one, I had to cut through a bunch of the source site's fully-animated banner advertising (broadband media dreck). Websites are getting worse and worse about hosing people's bandwidth.
