Newt Gingrich moved toward launching his first presidential campaign with all the grace of a suitcase falling down a flight of stairs.
It all began with conflicting signals from aides about what Gingrich actually would be announcing Thursday in Atlanta (correct answer: A website called "NewtExplore2012"). Then, in an odd one-question press conference, Gingrich proposed a Tenth Amendment Implementation Act (a vague project to return federal responsibilities to the states) while he simultaneously unveiled the exploratory White House candidacy. Finally, there was the embarrassing glitch when a liberal group pointed out that the flag-waving crowds in the background on the new Gingrich website were from a stock photo also used by Ted Kennedy with the logo: "We are the Democratic Majority."

Well done.
Newt, give it up.
The RNC snatching defeat from the jaws of victory once again.
At least one good thing would be that Newt would destroy Obama in any debates. Not that anyone would notice or contribute to Newts campaign.
god forbid the RNC put someone up that has a chance to win who has conservative principles.
I did some reading about Chris Christie on conservativenewjersey.com which gave me information about him, with quotes from him. Need to check their archives for articles about him with the word “Myth” in the title. Also a recent article about the NJ budget. Don’t know if they have articles about his appointing a Muslim to a NJ court, but you can find that also.
Also, No Mitt! No Newt! Still looking for a conservative leader.
This guy is another walking billboard for whats wrong with the GOP.
I like Newt, but he has zero chance of creating excitement among a broad spectrum of voters.
It’s like meeting someone you like but realizing there is no chemistry to take things to the ultimate level.
Great tagline ....
