Probably due to ‘limpwristing’ the gun.

Can anyone educate me on gun laws in Germany? Can the average Joe buy a pistol?
Oh’ and I hope this POS dies a slow and painful death.

Well, at least the MSM is reporting this honestly - unlike Obama’s press officer, who came out with some of the stupidest statements I have ever heard about a jihadi attack.

“He shot and killed Airman 1st Class Zachary R. Cuddeback...”
As indicated by the unique surname, the muzzie rat-b@st@rds just murdered a distant cousin of mine.

I thought European semi-autos never jammed because of how awesome European engineers are?

U.S. Senior Airman Nicholas J. Alden was standing outside of a bus at Frankfurt airport when a young man first asked him for a cigarette, then whether he was bound for Afghanistan. When Alden answered yes, the man fatally shot him, point blank, in the back of the head, then stormed aboard the bus shouting "Allah Akbar" Arabic for "God is great. Do not give out deployment information carelessly but only on a "need to know" basis. We are at war after all.

Ownership restricted basically to the well-to-do who are willing to jump through many hoops. Easy to cross the border, without being inspected, into Germany from former Iron Curtain countries where handguns aren’t hard to get.

I wonder what flavor of jam was used?

Can the average Joe buy a pistol? No.
Very strict gun laws. You have to take courses and be tested to even own hunting rifles or shotguns.
The perp bought this gun illegally in Belgium for about $1400.

That’s because their dirty night shirts dirty up the guns they use causing them to jam.

Sweet Jesus, how does one cope with the memory of that?

Good point, but I would also ask why the hell U.S. military personnel are being transported to a combat zone through an 'effing civilian airport.

I don’t know what make of gun this POS used, but my Sig never jams.... Or my Colt 1911, Glock 21, or Ruger 22.

We have friends in Germany. My understanding is that you can own a gun ONLY if you are registered with a hunting club, and go there to shoot. Very very tightly regulated, as is everything else.
How’d this guy get a gun?
Is anyone else amazed that this post actually mentions (what we all knew) that he shouted Allahu Akbar? I’m stunned. I mean, Obama is still trying to figure this one out.

FN Brownings are not known for problems like this. In my experience they go “bang” every time you pull the trigger.

Meanwhile, Obama refuses to call it a terrorist act. What a coward.

Which makes me think that perhaps You Tube should be considered for allowing this sort of video that portrayed our soldiers as the bad guys.
