O’REilly is an ass. To ask why Rumsfeld didn’t inform the public of his trepidations going into the war was sophomoric and condescending. I can’t even stomach listening to his voice anymore. I’m not a huge Rumsfeld fan by any means, but that question and subsequent comments were just plain inane.

BOR’s many and varied assumptions about what the administration is doing is just jaw-dropping.

It was amazing to see what BOR was willing to accept and cover for the Obama Administration always being deferential and assigning the most benign motive to every decision made or not made. Case in point Eric Holder's Justice Departments decision on the voter intimidation case. BOR gives a pass.

But, BOR goes after Secretary Rumsfeld like a rabid pit-bull tonight. I was disgusted.

The man is just so f***ing ignorant and arrogant. He doesn’t “think” this and he doesn’t “believe” that, he just airily makes his mind up and that’s it.

This interview was horrible, but O’reilly will never admit it.

That aside, I don’t know why he has guests on his show (which is the only reason I watch it) if he’s not going to let them talk and instead tells them what they should say/think.

I guess he’s a useful idiot by bringing interesting people and opinions on the air.

personally , I thought Rumsfeld dragged his ass on troops numbers in the lead up to the fight . We should have overwhelmed them . We should have totally pressured Turkey to allow a complete second front utilizing the 4th ID and we should have never put the situation into the hands of the inept Interm Authority after the initial victory . They really screwed the pooch.

Personally, I think Roethlisberger should have held on to those two time-outs in the second half. He really screwed the pooch on that one!

We should have totally pressured Turkey to allow a complete second front utilizing the 4th ID and we should have never put the situation into the hands of the inept Interm Authority after the initial victory .

The Turkey thing came down at the last moment -- the 4th ID was already in Alexandretta awaiting permission to debark. What stopped the action was a vote in the Turkish legislature -- something like 251-249, which we now know was largely engineered and bankrolled by France.

The Department of Defense had plans to establish a military government upon the defeat of Hussein. The personnel were chosen and in place. But Colin Powell and the State Department usurped the authority -- against Rumsfeld's recommendation.

The blame belongs to France and Colin Powell.

O’Reilly is an idiot. I stopped watching him in 2004 when he started to go after the Swift Vets, claiming he was going to expose them as a GOP toll.

They were not, they were just what they said they were.

O’Reilly crying about the public should have had all the information our generals and Bush had is ludicrous.

That was my thought as well. I had to watch. Made me mad - but I had to watch and I must say Rumsfeld handled O'Reilly like he would a stormy teen-ager.

Bill O'Reilly is not a friend of Constitutional Conservatives in any way. I well remember the night on his program a few years ago when he painted FreeRepublic with the same brush as DailyKOS as a hate site.
