Why I don’t like Ron Paul
Politicons ^ | March 2nd | Henry D'Andrea

Posted on 03/02/2011 8:45:30 AM PST by conservativeforpalin

After releasing my Top 5 GOP frontrunners list for March, many Ron Paul supporters were very unhappy not seeing him in the top five. They left tons of comments complaining that I didn’t include him and saying he is the only true hope for 2012. As most of my regular readers know, I do not like Ron Paul, and I support Sarah Palin for President. So, to not seem biased, I wanted to tell you why I don’t like Ron Paul. However, not to leave you in the cold, in terms of 2012, if he were the Republican Nominee, I would support him.

First off, many Republicans are strongly pro-war, and Ron Paul is not just anti-war, but he has adopted some of the more obnoxious and inflammatory rhetoric from the Left about the war that is extremely grating. Hell, according to Paul, Iraq is a war for oil and empire, engineered by neocons, and in Paul’s book, we deserved to be attacked on 9/11. That is not Conservative at all, and quite frankly disgusting. I do not want the President of the United States with that mindset. Additionally, Paul’s inconsiderate, “we must leave immediately, regardless of the consequences,” position on Iraq comes across as poorly thought out. Even though Paul is opposed to the war, the disengaging of the United States from the war immediately and without consequences is very thoughtless. It’s something you might hear from a Liberal college student at an anti-war rally. Even President Obama and Secretary Clinton, all whom have spent months trying to convince America that they’re the most anti-war of all, have said we may be in Iraq for years to come, though Obama has set a date for withdraw.

Secondly, Paul wants to get rid of the CIA...............

Not only that, but these Paulbots believe that if we were to leave every middle-eastern country, terrorism would die on the vine. Do they honestly think the muzzies have no interest in spreading sharia law to the West? That’s what’s behind this; not our presence in Iraq, Afghanistan, or anywhere else muzzies are predominant.

That nails it. And the beltway is full of those who either close their eyes to the obvious, or manipulate the situation for their own benefit.

"Do they honestly think..."?

No. They don't think at all.

That's what the word bot means.

Good post, by the way. Well said.

He'll have to score himself a new account to do so.

The old one is a smoking heap of charred FAIL.

Ron Paul does not back the State of Israel

The modern "State of Israel" is not Israel. The United States can't manipulatively curry the favor of God by financing, arming, saving or otherwise "blessing" the modern, secular, State of Israel.

God will bring the remnant of Israel to repentance in His own way. He does not need our military technology or our debt to do it.

Luke 3
Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

Zechariah 4:6
Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

I don't always comprehend Ron Paul's augments and I can't follow his reasoning. If he saw a man being beaten in the street, would he stand by and say "I am opposed to all violence" or would he intervene, perhaps violently, to stop the violence? I don't know. But in the realm of States I have to conclude that the situation is much more complex and we can't reduce our policy to Israel is God's therefore we defend Israel (while we also finance and arm all of Israel's enemies).

At least Ron Paul is consistent. He does not believe in any foreign aid. The leaders of nations everywhere, including Israel and America, are grotesquely corrupt and corrupting and are leading everyone in enmity to God and on a path to rapid destruction.

Psalm 2
1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

Thank you for reminding us once again why Paul is NOT a conservative (he is a moderate Libertarian). You see, State’s rights do not trump individual rights. A State does not have the right to, for example, take away your 2nd Amendment rights. Nor does a State have the right to say it is OK for someone to take another’s life (see Abortion). One of the Fed’s jobs is to ensure that individual rights are protected, be it from external or internal forces.

Regarding the legalization of drugs, something that always seems to be the number 1 issue for Paultards- for a long time, drugs were used as a weapon against this country by third world Communist countries, in proxy with the Soviet Union. In the same way the government does have the power to prevent a foreign operative from coming in and dumping arsenic in our water supply, they also can restrict dumping poison on our streets. This was one of the main ‘non-stated’ reasons in the Drug War. It was part of a proxy war against the Soviets.
