It appears that one of the 14 fugitive Wisconsin Democrats has returned to the state capitol, heeding Governor Scott Walkers ultimatum.
A flurry of Twitter messages late Tuesday night heralded the return of Democrat State Senator Tim Cullen, who represents labor union interests in the 15th Senate District surrounding Janesville, Wisconsin.
A Tuesday piece in the Janesville Gazette described Cullen as open to some of Governor Scott Walker's budget proposals. The Gazette describes his position as follows:
Cullen calls Walker's budget address a good speech, and the goal of getting Wisconsin moving again is shared by everyone. He does have a lot of questions about the details though. The Democrat wants to know how it will affect schools, municipalities, and health care. He says the sticking point is still the proposal to strip public workers of most of their collective bargaining rights.

Too bad the non-union constituents have no representative there.
It’s been backup since yesterday, those of us at conservativecave are able to get through now.
It’s been back up since yesterday, those of us at conservativecave are able to get through now.
After all, his party’s leader was a world’s expert at voting “present.”
Just another Democrat in drag.
It must be difficult having your husband in another State for political reasons, moving from place to place. It's a good thing that his 'special friend' has been able to support him and relieve his tension during these long days away.
Maybe Charlie S. will fly to IL and bring his “goddesses” with him to help the boys de-stress.
And I had always assumed he represented the entire constituency in the 15th Senate District.
Imagine my embarrassment.
” Democrat State Senator Tim Cullen, who represents labor union interests in the 15th Senate District “
Sweet. The first honest description of a democrat in ages.
Truth.
Though I doubt they realized that when they wrote it...but it's true. Any of his constituents that aren't in a labor union can just go pound sand.
We got us a little nuthatch, a darling thing.
And she’s not afraid of humans. Husband, myself, and dog all go out in the morn to exercise, throw ball, that sort of stuff. This red-breasted nuthatch walks up and down the nearby tree and flies right on in to pick up a seed out of the feeder, never mind who’s standing right by the thing.
At times she’s but an arm’s length away. Of course we stand stock still when she flies in, grabbing a seed and flying off as if to say “Don’t mind me, I’ll just get me a seed and be on my way.”
Heh.
The chickadees are quite brazen too but this nuthatch is beyond adorable.
Nothing about this from the major media outlets...
Update: This morning, the Twitterverse is saying that reports of Tim Cullen's return have been "refuted." He now exists in a quantum state between Illinois and Wisconsin. If you're someone who can actually communicate with him - such as liberal reporters, union bosses, and whoever stocks the mini-bar at his undisclosed location - please tell him his taxpaying constituents would like to know where he is, and whether he plans to return to his job any time soon.
Let's hope the Repubs don't manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, as is their pattern.
In two weeks, it appears that the Fleebaggers senate seats can be declared vacant.
Cut off his phone, and cut the electricity in his office to reduce costs. Delay his pay while you calculate it by hand. Move his parking space way out. Audit his travel vouchers. Be sure his staff members are not being used for "personal" duties. Be sure he has not accepted any "incentives" or payola from lobbiests. Just for starters.
They know the state budget is in trouble. They also know they made fools out of themselves by running like little girls. They know it was a big mistake.
Now, they have to find a way to come back as grown ups and still save face. They're begging the Governor to save them somehow. "Let's just call it some kind of compromise, OK? Please?"
Hope you are right. If true, Gov. Walker can replace all 14 and the Senate can get on with the vote. Prayers
