Fox News has learned former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich will make a major announcement about his presidential aspirations in Atlanta on Thursday.
Washington sources close to the looming Gingrich campaign tell Fox News they have been told to be ready to travel to Atlanta Thursday when Gingrich will make an announcement about forming a presidential exploratory committee.
All signs point to Gingrich officially entering the 2012 race and these sources believe that Newt will throw his hat into the ring on Thursday by announcing that he has completed the proper paperwork to form an explanatory committee.

He may have a base, but it ain’t the conservative base.

He just wants to keep his profile out there to see more books and have more paid TV appearances somewhere down the road. He never has to worry about TV appearances since that dupe Hannity will have him on every night if Newt wants it.

This guy knows he is as polarizing as Hillary. The question is why is this guy running, when he has no chance? What is it going to do to the field now that he is in? What does he know about what it is going to do to the field that is motivating him to join?

Is “making a major announcement” like “getting a major award”?

Is “making a major announcement” anything like “winning a major award?”

If The Newt really wants to contribute and have a positive impact on the 2012 election he will announce he is not running in favor of coming out 100% in support of Sarah Palin for president.
It is the least he can do to make ammends after his flirtation with Nancy Pelosi.

If it is the announcement the media is predicting, he is making a mistake. No offense but his time has not come. It is gone. Get off the dope Newt.
