This has been going on through out history. In the pst, white Protestants looked on in horror as Italian Catholics moved in next door. White Protestants kept Jews as far away as possible. Then when those groups were assimilated they looked on with horror as other ethnic groups moved in. Even with Mexicans and other Latinos—whites and some blacks were horrified as Latinos “took over” neighborhoods but I can tell you that in the poor areas around where I live, Latinos have upgraded the neighborhoods significantly and business is coming back to life. Same with blacks—the “six figure blacks” are better described as “assimilated” blacks—they are just as horrified as anyone else if some ghetto black or some white cracker from the hills moves in next door.
Why can’t the six figures get along with the five fingers?

My “benchmark liberal” likes to use the phrase “we’re all in the same boat”.
I think this is the mentality behind spreading crime out of the inner cities to the lower crime areas in the suburbs.
They want to FORCE everyone into the same boat, so they “know how it feels”.
These are the middle class blacks that left Detroit years ago in disgust with what the city was turning into.
The way they see it they moved from Detroit to get away from the crime and horrible schools for a better life, and the scum they were trying to raise their family away from are now their neighbors again.
If it gets bad enough they will pick up and move again with the whites (like they already did once from Detroit) and Southfield will just be a little Detroit in a decade or two.
If you look at history without a “perpetual victimhood” mentality,
you’ll see exactly what you observed in your post.
It’s a matter of CULTURE, not COLOR.
Black flight. It’s the latest big thing. LOL.
They don't want individuals to rise to their highest potential.
They want to smash everybody down to the lowest common denominator.
Happened on my block where a home went Section 8.
(tenants are not black, white trash Hillbilly types).
Quickly resulted in loud drunken arguments out in the
street at 2 and 3 AM. Only house in the neighborhood that was causing any problems. Only through a lot of neighborhood pressure and intensive police intervention did things eventually quiet down.
I am pretty sure though if they had been black the latter would never have happened.
I figured out they feel the same way about “preppers”.
Their attitude is basically -
“how dare some people prepare to be better off than others if there is a disaster or meltdown”
They call you a "hoarder" so they can justify stealing your stuff when TSHTF.
Yeah, I’m concerned about that.
This “benchmark lib” happens to be a diehard (nonthinking, of course) liberal and an older inlaw that my wife insists we need to prep for, because she won’t.
In other words, I am laying up stores for someone that MIGHT turn us in as hoarders.
The biiger question is, can you take the ghetto out of the new neighbor?

They will make this another ghetto in no time if they can’t live like civlized,respectful people. These are OBAMA people.

“Acting white” is how they became “six figure” blacks.
I feel kind of bad for my Mexican neighbor who is in forclosure but I won’t miss his massive garbage and multiple cars that he has parked in front of his house. I don’t care who buys his place as long as they are not slobs or gang members.
Poor people always live in the oldest houses. As the inner city slum eventually fall down or are bulldozed, they will be replaced by new structures that will force the poor out into the suburbs which at that point will contain the oldest homes.
Over many years Detroit in particular, and Michigan in general, sowed the wind of socialism with their ‘Rat governments and their rampant greedy unionism.
Now they’re reaping the whirlwind in so many ways.
Hard to sympathize with them. Hope they learned their lessons but it really doesn’t appear they did.
There is no nastier racism in america than Dependency black vs Successful black... The former hate the latter because they are successful and have succeeded, and the later hate the former because they get lumped in with them by stereotype.
Time to call the Justice Brothers.
