Ugh. Hong Kong's English daily South China Morning Post has a distinctly unsavory dispatch from the Chinese media this morning: Government scientists have released research that millions of acres of Chinese agricultural land and over 12 million tons of Chinese grain are contaminated by toxic metal pollution, according to this week's edition of the China Economic Weekly, a state-run magazine.
Last week, a separate article reported that 10% of Chinese rice contained excess cadmium, a heavy metal known to cause cancer.

Even food being mfg in the US is using raw materials from China.
When a company chooses to save a penny by buying from China, they better make sure these are untainted. I have my doubts with the volume of trade and distributors not clearly indicating the country of origin that these issues will spread.

It’s appropriate!

"The claim is that they are making an orzo like product using plastic as a filler, and selling it as rice." Ya know, for commies, the chicoms sure will do anything to make a buck.

Yup. The Chinese tried to pawn it off on Vietnam. When you buy anything you eat or anything that comes in contact with your body like toothpaste, skin creme, cleaners and other things - make sure it does not say made in China. The dollar stores sell a lot of toxic Chinese crap.
