Hey Glenn, I appreciate most of what you do, but can you stop making fun of Constitutionalists who want our presidents to meet constitutional eligibility? You talk about “the Big Lie”, but never pause to realize you may have been suckered in by the biggest one.
A few weeks back she said she was disappointed that Cairo style rioting hadn’t spread to the USA.
I’m guessing the new spin is that she just wants people to get out in the streets and get some exercise.
"I'm just a little old lady." Sounds like a Jonathan Winters' Maude Frickert bit.
Geesh, even when they (the leftists) have controversial ideas they even make themselves the issue to avoid the ideas -- just like they attack the person on the right and avoid what the person is saying, they make him the issue not the idea.
It does not appear to be just Beck.. there is a lot of talk on the 'Net about Cloward and Piven.
She says she’s old, frail, weak and grey-haired, therefore she can’t be dangerous.
Therefore she shouldn’t be teaching in a university, since she obviously has not conception of the power of ideas, and the danger of evil ideas.
But of course she has a conception. She is dissembling. As do all leftists all the time.
To Piven and all progressivists: why would you want to perpetrate a system so undesireable that you have to make it look like something it isn’t—every second of every minute of every day, on and on and on.
What is it all about? Could it really be true that you don’t understand what you’re doing?
“Kindly Grey-Haired Piven” The woman is a monster. That she has survived to become a gray-haired old lady supports the notion that the good die young. When she does cash in the air will be a little more pure all over the country.
So Piven is not a vicious Marxist mass-murder inciting monster? Piven is really Church Lady?
Thanks for the Post.
Poor frail gray haired old woman sounds upset that her ideas are exposed.
Where else would she go to cower? NPR should not get any more money.
Beck would let her on his show.
I’m not defending her at all, but I’d like some help answering the argument that the article which earned her and Cloward acclaim/comtempt does not talk about violence or a marxist takeover.
I think I have the answer to the marxist takeover part, because the article is pretty candid about redistribution of wealth and guaranteed income. The other part, as to violence in the C-P Strategy, I’m not so clear on. Yes, the article does talk about creating social turmoil and crashing the welfare system, but it does not seem to be talking about crashing the entire system or inciting widespread violence.
Again, don’t flame me, I’m just looking for a way to counter these arguments. I think she is awful and her interview at the link bespeaks a lying dirtbag.
