President Barack Obama says Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi must leave now. Obama made the comments to German Chancellor Angela Merkel in a private telephone conversation Saturday as they discussed the violence in Libya.

This is getting pathetic. Why doesn't he just pass his press secretary a note with a "Obama doesn't [heart] Gadhafi" on it, to pass on to the press pool? If it was a private phone call, then the message was private, right? Yet, somehow the AP knows, so it wasn't really private or it didn't really happen, but either way, he doesn't really want to own it.
