To quote Marge Gunderson: "I'm not sure that I agree with you on your police work there, Lou."

Althouse is something else. I'm not quite sure where she fits but it would seem to be a conservative/libertarian approximation is more apropos. The thing is that she has an intriguing take on most things, and takes absolutely no prisoners. She is very astute, and on legal topics especially, woe be to those on the opposite side of her in a debate.

Particularly on this event - she has been doing some of the essential reporting that the regular media does not do. Since the Capitol is about a 20 minute stroll away from the University of Wisconsin Law School, she (sometimes, her husband) has been able to walk there and photograph and interview on video some of these fools manning the protest site. Nothing like cinema verité interviews with these folks, expressing very plainly their feeble grasp on the issues involved. I can imagine this situation, because I lived in Madison for 20 years (and attended the University of Wisconsin Law School - but now regret that I never took a course taught by Prof. Althouse.)

I recommend that you read her blog.
